RBI Recruitment 2014 – Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the country’s apex bank, has announced recruitments to 506 posts of Assistant in its various offices, with opening the registration of RBI Assistant Application Form 2014 for the candidates on July 16. The application process for RBI Assistant 2014will continue till August 6.

The online exam will be conducted tentatively in the fourth week of September 2014, RBI said.

 

The Applications for RBI Assistant 2014 are invited from the candidates in online mode only. No other mode for submission of RBI Assistant Application Form 2014 is available, RBI said in a statement.

RBI Assistant 2014 Eligibility Criteria

  • As on July 01, 2014, the candidates must be aged between 18 years and 28 years, i.e. they must have been born not earlier than July 02, 1986 and not later than July 01, 1996.
  • As on August 06, 2014, the candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on computer system.

As per the RBI 2014 Assistant Selection Process, the candidates are required to qualify two phases – Online Examination and Interview. RBI 2014 Paper Pattern is as below:

The candidates have to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately. The candidate will get 1 mark for every right answer. For every wrong answer marked, 1/4th marks will be deducted as minus marking.

According to the RBI, out of the total 506 vacancies in Assistant grade, 233 vacancies are for Reserved category candidates, while 273 vacancies are for Unreserved categories. The distribution of vacancies in various categories is as below:

The statement issued by the country’s central bank said the starting basic pay applicable to Assistant grade is Rs 8,860/- per month and other allowances attached to it are Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc, taking the initial monthly Gross emoluments to around Rs 22,732/-.

rbi assistant ka notification kab ayega?

Greetings !!

We can expect the notification for RBI assistant by the end of December. As RBI Grade B exams are done, we can hope RBI will come up with assistant notification. I suggest you to start preparing well for the examination, so you can clear it in one go. Dedicate at least 5-6 hours daily for your preparation. Practice mocks as much as you can. Revise the concepts. You can definitely clear the exam. If any doubts, pls feel free to ask !

Minimum qualifications for RBI exam

Hi Mahendra,

For RBI Assistant Exam, you need to be between 20 to 28 years of age pls should be a graduate in any discipline with 50% marks. For reserved categories (SC/ST/PWD candidates), they just need to pass graduation in any discipline. Knowledge of word processing on PC is required too.

Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

On average total of 5.5lakh candidates appear for RBI Assistant examination however this will vary for all states as som emight have more and some might have fewer students.
