ONGC Scholarship 2020: Meritorious SC/ST, OBC Economically weaker General Category Students
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) Foundation has invited applications for ONGC scholarship to meritorious SC/ST, OBC and Economically weaker General Category students. All such students pursuing professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, MBA, Geology/Geophysics are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to the meritorious students belonging to the marginalized sections of the society. Selected students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs. 48,000 each annually to enable them to complete their education.

ONGC Scholarship 2020: Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
Regular full time course
Economically weaker General Category
Not be more than 30 years of age as on 1st January 2020
Have a gross family income of less than INR 2 Lakhs per annum (i.e. INR 16,667 per month) from all sources.
Note: In order to be eligible for applying for ONGC Merit scholarship:
The candidates should not avail any other financial assistance/scholarship from any other source.
Students getting fee waiver/ reimbursement of tuition fees from any of the State governments are eligible.
ONGC Scholarship 2020: Documents Required
Certified copy of Caste Certificate in Hindi/English
Copy of Birth Certificate/Class 10 Mark sheet as proof of age
Copy of Class 12 mark sheet in case of Engineering/MBBS students
Copy of Graduation mark sheet in case of MBA/Master's in Geology/Geophysics students
Certified copy of annual income certificate of the family in Hindi/English language
Bank details of the applicant in the ECS form as prescribed
Copy of PAN card or the tentative date for submission of PAN card copy (in case it is not available)
ONGC Scholarship 2020: Terms and Conditions
50% scholarships are reserved for girl students.
Students must maintain a minimum of 60% or CGPA 6 in each semester examination to ensure the continuation of the scholarship.
The scholarship is allowed for full-time regular courses only.
The total number of scholarships is distributed equally in five different
Zone 1 (North Zone) - J&K, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand
Zone 2 (West Zone) - Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu
Zone 3 (North-East Zone) - Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Tripura
Zone 4 (East Zone) - Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh
Zone 5 (South Zone) - Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Telangana, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.
The specific zone where a student can apply for this scholarship depends on the location of the University/Institute/College in which the student was studying for the qualifying examination.
Students must provide the active bank account details and ensure these details are not likely to be changed later.
Students must provide active mobile number and email.
Students belonging to different categories (OBC, SC/ST,EWS) shall apply in their respective schemes.

The candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria may submit their application in the prescribed "Application format" by clicking the ‘Apply Now’ option which can be seen top right corner in this website www.ongcscholar.org.
Note: The candidates should submit the complete application with all the supporting documents attested by their Head/Principal/ Dean of the Institute/ College/University online and share the same in hard copies. The applications should reach the designated office of ONGC as per the details given in application Format.
