Meghalaya Police has invited applications from the interested candidates for as many as 1425 vacancies in various posts. The applications from eligible candidates in the prescribed format must reach 'The office of DG Prisons/ Additional Director General of Police (TAP) and Chairman, Central Recruitment Board (CRB) Shillong, Meghalaya' on or before April 15.

According to selection process, the shortlisting of the candidates will be made through a physical efficiency test, written examination, trade test and interview. The candidates applying for the posts must be domiciled in Meghalaya.

As per eligibility criteria, the applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in any stream for UB SI/AB SI, Class V pass for State Battalions, Class 12 for Unarmed Branch Constable, Fireman, Driver FM, MPRO Operator and Mechanic, Class IX for Armed Branch Constable, Driver Constable and Handyman. The candidates must not be aged more than 27 years for UB SI/ AB SI/ State Battalions and 21 years for all other positions.

Candidates can apply for the positions of Unarmed Branch Constable, Armed Branch Constable, State Battalion Constable and IRBN Constable, Handyman Constable, Rider Constable, MPRO Constable, UB Sub Inspector, AB Sub Inspector, Fireman, Driver Fireman and other posts in Meghalaya Police, said the Office of the DG Prisons or Additional Director General of Police, Central Recruitment Board in a statement.
