Indian Coast Guard notifies for various vacancies

The Indian Coast Guard has invited applications from the interested candidates to fill in 69 vacancies for the posts of Officer, Assistant and Clerk. The last date of submission of duly filled application forms in the prescribed format is March 13, 2016.

The applicants must download the prescribed format of application form through the official website – www.indiancoastguard.nic.in and send the duly filled application form to the official address as given below.

As per the selection procedure, the shortlisting of the candidates will be based on their performance in the written examination and interview.

Separate eligibility criteria have been prescribed by the recruitment body for various positions. Candidates can check below eligibility criteria in details.

 Educational qualification:

 
Civilian Staff Officer (Logistics) – The applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or board and also a diploma in Material Management and five-year experience in store administration in a government department.

Civilian Gazetted Officer (Logistics) – The applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or board along with a diploma in material management and three-year experience in store administration in a government department.

 

Senior Design Officer – The applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture from a recognised university or board along with three-year professional experience.

 

Junior Design Officer – The applicants must have a Bachelor's  degree in Engineering streams like (Mechanical/ Marine/ Electrical/ Tele Communication) along with two-year professional experience and practical experience in warship design or familiarity with Naval warship machinery and equipment.

 

Section Officer – The applicants must hold analogous posts on regular basis in the parent Cadre or department under the Central Government.

 

Legal Assistant – The applicants must possesses a Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university or board with two-year experience as a qualified legal practitioner and must hold analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department under the Central Government or State Government.

 

Technical Officer – The applicants must hold an analogous post in the parent cadre or department in a regular basis under the Central Government.

 

Personal Assistant – The applicants must have passed the (10+2) examination and also hold an analogous post on regular basis under the Central Government.

 

Upper Division Clerk – The candidates must hold an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department under the Central government.

 

Age limit:

The candidates applying for any of the above positions must not be aged above 56 years as on March 13, 2016. However, relaxation in age will be applicable as per government norms.
