National Testing Agency is scheduled to release NTA UGC NET 2020 application form on March 16 at its official website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in in online mode. Interested candidates meeting the eligibility standards can fill the application form till April 16. Thus, it is very important for the candidates to know how to fill the UGC NET application form, what items must be kept ready for filling the form and in what cases can the form be rejected by the authorities. Online Registration by filling the unique email id and mobile number
UGC NET application form login through the system generated application number.
Upload scanned images of candidate’s photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
Make payment of application fee through SBI /Syndicate/HDFC /ICICI Payment Gateway (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking/Paytm).

Factors Leading To Application Form Rejection
The final submission of UGC NET online application form will be incomplete without the uploading of scanned copy candidates photo and signature.
The application form will also be rejected by NTA in case the application form fee is not submitted.
UGC NET application form with unclear photograph of the candidate will also be rejected.
The application form will be rejected in case the photograph uploaded by the candidate is found to be fabricated i.e. de-shaped, hand-made or computer made
The application form without photograph will also be rejected. It must be remembered that photographs must not be attested.
Candidates must not write their full name in the box of signature. It would result in application form rejection.
Application form without signature will also be rejected.
Also, candidates found not meeting the eligibility criteria would also be debarred at later stages of the selection process.
About UGC NET 2020
UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Assistant Professors and to award the Junior Research Fellowship. As per the exam pattern of UGC NET test is held in online mode for two papers - paper I and II. Paper I is common for all while paper II is based on the subjects opted by the candidate. Candidates successfully applying for the exam will be issued the UGC NET admit card. It is important for the candidates to bring their admit card to their respective UGC NET exam centres on the exam day. Yes, you are eligible for the UGC NET exam because to apply for the exam candidates must have masters’ degree from the approved and recognized universities and IGNOU is a UGC approved University as per the latest eligibility criteria which is described as below :-
- Open category/Unreserved category candidates need to have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Masters or equivalent.
- OBC/ST/SC/PWD/Transgender candidates should have scored at least 50% marks in Masters or equivalent exam.
- Candidates in their final year of master’s degree can also take the UGC NET 2020 exam, however, such candidates have to complete their degree with required NET qualification marks within 2 years.
- As per the eligibility criteria of UGC NET Ph.D. degree holders with their master’s completed by September 19, 1992 can avail relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks. This means that such candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in masters.
- Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate by Indian University/Institute or foreign degree/diploma/certificate by the foreign University/Institute have to ensure that their diploma/degree/certificate is equivalent to master’s degree recognized by Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), NewDelhi.
To apply for JRF your age must not exceed 30 years or if you are from SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidate then you will get 5 years age relaxation but for assistant professor no age criteria is applicable.

Hello, I have passed ugc net and csc set both exm in 2019 by using ews certificate, In west bengal ews certificates validation is one year, so my question is that if I do not renewed my certificate then my net set certificate will be cancelled or not?
For the award of Junior Research Fellowship, the UGC NET certificate remains valid for 3 years from the date of issue and for lectureship, it is vaild for lifetime.
