The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the application form of CSIR UGC NET for December 2018 session. Aspiring candidates can fill the application form of CSIR UGC NET 2018 in online mode between September 27 to October 15. Candidates who are not more than 29 years of age as on January 1, 2018, and have completed Masters degree with at least 55% marks can fill CSIR UGC NET application form 2018.

CSIR UGC NET application 2018 released for December session; apply till October 15

To fill the application form of CSIR UGC NET 2018 December session, candidates must visit and click on the registration link. A registration number and password will be generated once the candidates register for  CSIR UGC NET 2018. The registration number and password will be sent to the candidates on their email IDs and mobile number. Candidates have to use these credentials throughout the selection process of CSIR UGC NET 2018.

Along with filling the application form, candidates must also pay an application fee without which the application form will not be accepted by the examination authority. General category candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 1000 while the candidates belonging to OBC NCL and SC/ST/PWD category must pay Rs. 500 and 250 respectively. After the completion of filling the application form of CSIR UGC NET 2018, candidates must take a print of the form as well as of the payment slip.

Prior to the filling of CSIR UGC NET application form, candidates must have certain documents ready with them which include scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed specifications, educational qualification certificates, caste certificate (if required), PWD certificate (if applicable) and a handwritten declaration.

As per the exam pattern of CSIR UGC NET, will be conducted on December 16, 2018 for 5 subjects Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The exam will be conducted in two sessions morning and afternoon. The test for Life Sciences and Physical Sciences will be held in the morning session while Chemical, Mathematical and Earth Sciences papers will be held in the afternoon session. The test will be held for 200 marks for which candidates will be given 3 hours. CSIR UGC NET 2018 for December session will be conducted at various centers at 27 cities across the country.

CSIR UGC NET is held twice a year June and December for determining the eligibility of candidates as Lecturers and award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The exam is held in offline mode for 5 different streams. Earlier this year, the exam was held on June 17 for which the result is still awaited.
