Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited Junior Engineer (UPPCL JE) exam is conducted by Electricity Service Commission, UP Power Corporation Limited for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in Electrical Engineering stream at Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) and Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL). Candidates between the age of 18 and 40, with a 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering, are eligible to apply for the computer-based test (CBT). Candidates must have passed high school or equivalent with Hindi as a language or else they have to clear an exam conducted by Registrar, Department Examination, Govt. of UP within 3 years of joining. Selection will be done on the basis of merit list prepared based on the marks of candidates in the CBT. UPPCL JE Eligibility Criteria - Essential Qualification
Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of Hindi (Devnagri Script). Candidates not studied Hindi at the high school or equivalent level as a language have to appear and clear an exam conducted by Registrar, Department Examination, Govt. of UP within 3 years of joining.
Candidates must have passed 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering by Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a diploma, equivalent thereto, recognised by the state government.
Candidates should have passed 3 years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Diploma Exam in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the universities of India incorporated by an act if central/state legislature.

UPPCL JE Application Form – Stages
First of all, while applying for UPPCL JE, candidates have to register online. To register, candidates have to use their mobile number and email ID. A user Id & password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. Candidates have to keep these login credentials safe with them until the recruitment procedure is complete.
Log in and Filling Application Form
With the login credentials sent to candidates on their registered email and phone number, candidates have to log into the application portal and enter the required personal and educational details along with uploading the photograph, signature and left thumb impression, in the prescribed format. Exam centres also need to be selected in this stage.
Review Application Form
Candidates must review the application details entered before making the final submission. Before the final submission, candidates must make corrections/changes/modifications in the admit card if need be. After final submission, no corrections can be made.
Candidates have to pay the application fee via online and offline mode. Aspiring to pay the fee via online mode, candidates can pay it through net banking/credit card/debit card. Candidates comfortable in paying the fee via offline mode have to download the e-challan from the application form and pay it at any nearest SBI Bank branch.

UPPCL JE Exam Pattern
UPPCL JE exam will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test) with 200 questions in total. Candidates have to complete the test in 3 hours. 150 questions will be from Diploma level engineering, 20 questions from General Knowledge/Awareness, 20 from reasoning and 10 from Hindi. Each correct answer will get 1 mark, while each incorrect answer will fetch -0.25 marks.

The Electricity Service Commission has released the admit card of UPPCL JE 2019. Candidates can download UPPCL admit card by entering their required credentials in the 3-year window. On entering the required particulars, candidates have to download the admit card and check if all the details mentioned are correct or not. In case of any mistake or incorrect information on the admit card, candidates have to take it to the concerned authorities. The admit card of UPPCL JE must be taken to the examination centre on the day of the exam along with the prescribed photo ID proof. Without having the admit card, candidates cannot be allowed to take the test.

UPPCL JE Answer Key
Electricity Service Commission will release the answer key of UPPCL JE within 2 days of the CBT exam. UPPCL JE Answer Key will be available on the official website for 3 days after its availability. The answer key link will also be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID. In case candidates find discrepancies in the answer key, they can submit their objections with the proper proof online within 3 days from the last day of the availability of the answer key. Objections without proof or sent after the deadline will not be entertained. Panel experts will check the objections and release a final answer key. The decision of the panel experts will be final and binding.

Electricity Service Commission will declare the result of UPPCL JE in online mode. Candidates can check their result by entering their required credentials in the result window like registration number and date of birth. UPPCL JE result will carry the sectional and overall scores and ranks of the candidates.
Candidates, who manage to secure at least 30% marks in UPPCL JE exam will be considered eligible for the next phase of the selection, which is document verification. Thus, candidates with marks less than 30% will not be called for document verification.

UPPCL JE Cut off
The cut off of UPPCL JE is released by the Electricity Service Commission according to the category of candidates and the post applied for. Thus, candidates must note that UPPCL JE cut off will be different for different category of candidates. UPPCL cut off is the minimum marks candidates have to secure in order to be considered for the further process of the recruitment. There are two kinds of cut offs of UPPCL. As per the examination authority, candidates need to secure at least 30% aggregate marks in UPPCL JE to be considered for the next phase of the recruitment. Apart from this, candidates also need to secure the sectional and overall cut off determined by the Electricity Service Commission for each category.
UPPCL JE Selection Procedure
The selection process of UPPCL JE includes two stages – Computer Based Test (CBT) and document verification. Selection of candidates will be done 3-year merit list prepared based on their performance in the CBT. If candidates secure the minimum qualifying marks (30%) or above in UPPCL JE, then they will be called for document verification. During the document verification stage, candidates have to carry all the required documents (Original and photocopy) as given below to the verification venue. They must also produce a character certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied and 2 responsible/respectable persons (who are not relatives) at the time of joining. After document verification, candidates will have to undergo training as conducted by UPPCL. After successful completion of the training, candidates are finally absorbed.
