About TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020
Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) conducts the TANGEDCO AE exam for the recruitment of Assistant Engineers in both Electrical and Civil branches. Candidates who have attained 18 years of age and hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering (EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT or Civil) can apply for TANGEDCO AE. The offline exam of TANGEDCO AE will contain three parts - parts I, II, and III in which paper I and II will be compulsory for 20 marks each while paper III will be conducted for the subject selected by the candidate during the form filling. Paper III will carry 65 questions out of which only 60 answers will be evaluated. each answer will carry 1 mark each. Candidates will be given 2 hours in order to complete the exam of TANGEDCO AE. All those candidates who qualify in the written examination will be recruited as Assistant Engineer after the documents verification is done.

TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020 Eligibility Criteria
TANGEDCO AE eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates to fill the application form. The exam conducting authority determines the eligibility criteria of TANGDCO AE by taking age and educational qualification of the candidates into consideration.

TANGEDCO AE Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification
For Assistant Engineers (Electrical)
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in EEE/ECE/EIE/CSE/IT Engineering.
Or
Must have passed AMIE (Sections A and B) under Electrical Engineering Branch
For Assistant Engineers (Civil)
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Or
Must have passed AMIE (Sections A and B) under the Civil Engineering Branch.
Candidates must keep in mind that all those candidates who hold a U.G degree through Distance/Correspondence from any university/institution by Tamil Nadu Government will not be eligible to fill the application form of TANGEDCO AE.
TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020 Application Process
Mode of Application : Online
The exam conducting authority will release the application form of TANGEDCO AE in online mode. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria before filling the application form of TANGEDCO AE. In order to fill the application form, candidates must have a valid and active email ID and mobile number before they begin the application process. Candidates must also keep the details of marks, percentage/CPGA of marks, certificate numbers, year of passing, Board/University details etc. Scanned photograph and signature of prescribed specifications must also be kept ready in order to upload it during the filling of application form of TANGEDCO AE. Along with filling the application form, candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee as per their category. Without the payment of application fee, TANGEDCO AE application form will not be accepted by the exam conducting authority.

TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020 Exam Pattern
The exam conducting authority will release the exam pattern of the TANGEDCO AE exam. By referring to the TANGEDCO AE exam pattern, candidates will know different papers for which the exam will be conducted, the duration of the exam and the total questions that will be asked.
TANGEDCO AE will be conducted in offline mode in which the questions asked will be objective type. For candidates appearing for Assistant Engineer in Electrical branch will have to take the test in English only while candidates who will appear for Assistant Engineer in Civil can take the test either in English or in Tamil. The question paper of TANGEDCO AE will be divided into three parts - parts I, II and III. Part I and II will be compulsory while part III of the paper will be based on the subject selected by the candidate during the filling of the application form.

TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020 Admit Card
The exam conducting authority will issued admit card of TANGEDCO AE in online mode. The admit card will be issued to all those candidates who will successfully fill the application form. In order to download the admit card of TANGEDCO AE, candidates must use their registration number and password. TANGEDCO AE admit card reflects name of the candidates, photograph, registration number, exam dates and time, and centre. Candidates must check all the details mentioned on the admit card. A printout of the same must be taken out by the candidates and carry it to the exam centre on the day of exam. Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry one of the prescribed photo ID proofs – voter card, aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, driving license.

TANGEDCO AE Recruitment 2020 Selection Process
As per the selection process of TANGEDCO AE, all those candidates who will successfully fill the application form will be able to appear for the recruitment exam. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates who qualify the written exam of TANGEDCO AE will be called for the process of document verification in the ratio of 1:5 as per the rule of reservation and the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam of TANGEDCO AE. Once the verification process is over, shortlisted candidates will be issued the appointment orders.
