About SBI Clerk 2019

SBI Clerk 2019 - State Bank of India has released the SBI Clerk result 2019 for the Mains exam on their official website in PDF format. Candidates who have appeared for the exam on August 10, 2019, can check for their result by visiting the official website. SBI conducted the computer-based test to fill the 8653 vacancies of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre across Gen/ OBC/ SC/ ST and EWS categories. In addition, vacancies to the tune of 353 for Pwd and 1224 for Ex-Servicemen have also been announced along with the backlog of 433 positions that were left unfilled from the previous recruitment.  Candidates who qualify in the Mains exam will be placed as per the marks obtained in the descending order category wise in the final merit list. Only the marks of the SBI Clerk 2019 Main exam will be considered for the merit list. The state-wise selection will be for eligible candidates as per the SBI Clerk merit list.

SBI Clerk 2019 is a two-stage exam. The first stage is the Prelims exam that was held on June 22, 23 and 30, 2019 for which the results were declared on July 23, 2019. The Main exam which is the second stage was held on August 10, 2019. Candidates may note that final selection will be subject to verification of eligibility of candidates and qualifying in the specific local language opted for while filling the application form. The results will also mention the qualifying status of the candidates who will be called for final selection.

SBI will maintain a waitlist of 50% of vacancies for each state and category. This waitlist will be valid for one year wherein candidates mentioned in the list will be released on a quarterly basis against non-joining and resignation by members in the current batch. Candidates mentioned in the SBI Clerk 2019 waitlist will have to score marks that are equal to or more than the specified cut off marks for the same.

SBI prescribes the eligibility criteria for clerk recruitment along with the notification. Candidates have to fulfill the eligibility requirements set by the conducting body to appear for the exam. SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam Exam Pattern

  • The examination mode of SBI Clerk prelims exam is online.
  • The question will be either in English language or Hindi, except for the test of General English
  • The online test will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be five options given on the screen, candidates have to answer anyone.
  • Subjects of the SBI Clerk prelims exam – English language, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability 
  • There will be a total of 100 questions carrying 1 mark each. Out of which the English language will have 30 questions while Numerical ability and Reasoning ability will have 35 questions each.
  • Each correct answer will be given 1 mark. For every incorrect response, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
  • Candidates have to attempt questions within 1 hour.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Exam Pattern

  • SBI Clerk mains exam will be conducted in online mode
  • The language of the test will be either in Hindi or English, except for the test of General English
  • Candidates will be given 190 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Subjects of the SBI Clerk mains exam – General English, General/Finance Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude,  Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude
  • General English will carry 40 questions while General/Finance Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude,  Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude carries 50 marks.
  • The total marks for the exam are 200
  • There will negative marking of 1/4th marks.

State Bank of India releases the admit card of SBI Clerk for prelims and mains separately. Candidates can check their SBI Clerk admit card by entering registration number and password/date of birth in the login window. Before downloading, candidates must check that all details mentioned on the admit card. In case, any discrepancies, candidates must immediately contact the officials for necessary rectification. Only those candidates who have registered successfully can download SBI Clerk admit card. The SBI Clerk admit card carries exam centre address, exam date and time, name and roll number of the candidate, exam day instructions etc. No hard copy of the SBI Clerk admit card for prelims and mains examination will be sent through the post.

Admit card of SBI Clerk prelims exam is an important document, which must be carried to the examination hall along with required identity proof documents.

The admit card of SBI Clerk Mains is released in online mode. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary stage of SBI Clerk will be issued the mains admit card. Along with the SBI Clerk admit card candidates must also carry one prescribed identity proof to the examination hall.

What after SBI Clerk 2019 result?

Candidates who have qualified but have not studied the language of the state opted for must undergo the language test. Candidates who have studied the opted language in class 10 and 12 will be exempt from the language test for the final selection.

SBI Clerk Result 2019  - Final Merit List

Candidates will be selected as per the marks obtained in the Mains exam in the descending order. The list will be category wise for the respective states. The merit list will be the basis of the selection. Only candidates who prove their proficiency in the regional language opted for, will be selected. Qualified candidates who fail to prove their proficiency in the opted language will be disqualified for selection.

SBI Clerk 2019 Result - Wait List

SBI will maintain a wait list for 50% of the vacancies will be maintained to cover for any resignation or non-joining from the current batch. This wait list will be valid for a period of one year.

SBI Clerk result 2019 for the preliminary examination was declared in online mode on July 23. Candidates can login using their registration or roll number along with their date of birth. The result will be displayed and candidates can download their score card which will mention their name, other details, marks obtained along with the cutoffs to qualify for the mains exam which will be held on August 10.

The State Bank of India will declare the SBI Clerk result for preliminary in online mode. The result of SBI Clerk prelims will be available in pdf format. Candidates can download their scorecard after two to three days of the result declaration.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam Result

The result of SBI Clerk will be declared in online mode. On the basis of SBI Clerk mains exam, candidates will be shortlisted for provisional allotment. Only those candidates who will score equal to or more than the category-wise and state-wise cutoff will be selected for language test and provisional allotment. 

SBI Clerk Cutoff 2019 - State Bank of India will declare the cutoff of SBI Clerk 2019 along with the result. The SBI Clerk 2019 cutoff will be mentioned category wise in the result. Qualifying status will be determined on the basis of the cutoff of SBI Clerk 2019 which is the minimum marks required by candidates to be considered for final selection. SBI Clerk 2019 Selection Process

SBI Clerk section process includes mainly three stages:

SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam – SBI Clerk prelims exam is conducted for those candidates who successfully register for the exam. Candidates have to download SBI Clerk admit card to appear in the examination. Candidates must note that marks obtained in the prelims exam are not added while preparation of the final merit list. Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the SBI Clerk Mains exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Exam – The mains examination is conducted only for those candidates who qualify the prelims examination. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam conducting authority to get shortlisted for final merit list. Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed in the merit list as per their state and category.

Local Language Test –  It is conducted for only for those candidates who have not studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12.  However, candidates who have studied the opted local language in class 10 and 12 are exempted from the language test. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in specified opted local language are disqualified from the selection process. 

Final SBI Clerk selection process of the candidates is based on fulfilling the eligibility requirement and qualifying the mains and language test.

Hi dear,

Right now only overall cutoff of SBI mains 2019 are not released on the official sites.

But if we analyse the previous years cutoff marks of SB mains for ex servicemen then it is 86.25 out of 200 marks.

While, this year the overall sbi mains 2019 cutoff for UP candidates if is expected to be around 80-90.

For more details and exact cutoff we still have to wait for the release of results.

See marks varies each year, the cutoffs depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing, paper level, etc. So one thing that you can rely on is the ranks. I'll give you a brief idea about the ranks for colleges in Odisha for sc category. One of the best colleges Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar had cutoff rank 373175 for sc category.

College of Engineering and Technology Bhubaneshwar had cutoff rank  349747 for Electronics Engineering, 277610 for Electrical Engineering, 207393 for Chemical Engineering, 458685 for Information Technology.

So prepare well for the exams and give your best and once the exams are over, then think about where you stand and the options you have.

To give you a gist, the merit list after each round is prepared on the Category you have selected while filling in the application form. There is a statement that says that SBI cannot assume any responsibility of the mistakes in the application form and submission of the application forms after the last date. Now if you select your Category as General during Mains and you qualify under General Category, you will be given a placement under the General Category.

Exam for SBI Clerk is divided into three stages-

Prelims of 1 hour duration with following subjects-

Mains is of 2 hour and 40 min duration with following subject-
