About Haryana Civil Services 2021
Haryana Public Service Commission conducts HCS (Ex.Br.) and Allied Services examination. The application form will be available in online mode. The application fee is Rs. 1000 for the General male candidate, Rs. 250 for General female and all SC candidates. Candidates belonging to the PWD category will not have to pay the application fee. To be eligible for HCS, candidates must have a graduation degree (of any stream) from a recognised University with the required certificate/ documents, etc. issued on or before the application closing date. The age limit is between 21- 42 years old. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided upper age relaxation by the commission. The exam is conducted in three phases - Preliminary exam, Mains exam and Personal Interview. Only those candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be called for HCS Main exam. After qualifying the main exam (written), there will be a Personality Test (interview) carrying 75 marks.

Haryana Civil Services 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Haryana Civil Services Preliminary Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be graduates (Commerce, Science or Arts) from a recognised university as on the application closing date. They must possess all of their certificates and documents, in support of their educational qualification, before the application closing date. The HCS eligibility criteria also set an age limit of 21- 42 years. For the post of DSP, the age limit is 21- 27 years. However, the upper age limit has been stretched for certain categories of candidates belonging to Haryana, ex-military persons, etc.
Haryana Civil Services Main Exam Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of HCS Main exam is the same as the pre-exam. In addition to that, only those candidates who qualify the pre-exam will be eligible to appear for HCS Main exam. Candidates must note that since the pre-exam acts as a screening test, it is only a stepping stone towards being posted in the Haryana civil services. Marks scored in the pre-exam will not be counted in the final selection.

Haryana Civil Services 2021 Exam Pattern
Haryana Civil Services Preliminary Exam Exam Pattern
The HCS Preliminary exam pattern suggests that the exam will be conducted on offline mode. Candidates will have to attempt two papers- General Studies and an elective paper in which candidates will have to choose among 19 subjects. Both the papers will carry 100 marks and will last for a duration of 2 hours each. Questions will be objective with 5 answer options. Every correct response rewards 2 marks whereas every incorrect response deducts 0.25 mark.
Haryana Civil Services Main Exam Exam Pattern
The HCS Main exam will consist of 4 papers carrying 600 marks in total. The papers are in the following order- English, Hindi, General Studies, and two elective subjects. The exam pattern of HCS Main exam 2019 mentions that the paper will be objective in nature. Each question carries 2 marks and an incorrect response negates 0.25 mark. Candidates who clear this round will be eligible to appear for the Personality Test (interview) of 75 marks.

Police officers are responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining peace within communities. In addition to earning a high school diploma, police officers receive training at a police academy. Some police officers complete degree programs in law enforcement or criminal justice as well, which can be helpful for career advancement. Police recruits also have to go through a series of examinations that are determined by their academy, which may include physical fitness testing and psychiatric review .
Eligibility to become Police Officer
In order to become a Police Officer, the aspirant must first decide which designation they are targeting. The eligibility and recruitment process of various designations under the police department. is different. If you are targeting for SP/ ASP/ DSP, you must clear IPS examination. Meanwhile, For other posts, state governments hold separate recruitment exams. The recruitment exam will comprise of both a written and physical test. The candidates must meet the proper height and weight description, depending on the post. The details regarding physique will be specified in the recruitment notifications.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is another authority that conducts the recruitment exam for Sub-Inspector of Police in several states.
Subjects Combination - Students from any stream/ subject in Class 12/ UG/ PG can become police officers after clearing the recruitment exam and physical tests.
