Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company Limited recruits candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer (AE) Trainee and Junior Engineer (JE) Trainee in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution, Transmission, & Generation Co. Ltd.  Previous year, CSPHCL had announced 148 Assistant Engineer (AE) Trainee and 245 Junior Engineer (JE) Trainee posts. The selection process for CSPHCL AE JE Recruitment involves an online computer based test followed by an interview. All selected candidates have to undergo on the job training and institutional training for a total of 12 months. Evaluation of performance in the training period will be assessed through a written exam followed by an assessment by MD.

CSPHCL AE Recruitment - Maximum Age limit :

• 30 years for Male/Female candidates of other than Chhattisgarh State

• 35 years for UR category for male/female candidates of Chhattisgarh State Domicile

• 40 years for SC/ST/OBC for male/female candidates of Chhattisgarh State Domicile

• Maximum 10 years age relaxation will be given to a person with a disability (PwD)

The application form of CSPHCL AE JE Recruitment is released online. Candidates must keep the pre-requisites ready before applying:

Registration: To register for CSPHCL AE JE recruitment, candidates must click on 'I Agree' check box and press 'Start' button. Candidates should fill up all the desired information i.e. personal details, contact details, etc. On completion of the registration process, candidates will receive a message in their registered email id about registration and login ID and password.

Filling up the details: After registration, the candidates have to login and complete other details in application form like personal details, qualification details, and declaration etc. 

Uploading Images: Candidates must upload their photograph, signature and certificate as per specifications are given below:

Photograph Image:

• The photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture taken on a light background (not older than 3 weeks)

• Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face

• The size of the scanned image should be between 50kb -100kb in jpg/ jpeg format only

Signature image:

• The applicant has to sign on white paper with a Black ink pen

• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person

• Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page

• Size of file should be between 10kb – 100kb in Jpg/jpeg format only

Certificate image:

• Please scan the relevant Certificates.

• Each Certificate in JPG/JPEG/PDF format only and Size of file should be between 50kb – 1000kb

CSPHCL AE JE Recruitment Application fee payment: Candidates are required to re-login and click the link/tab ‘Make Online Payment’ active after 24 hours of submission of the application. Once SBI Collect of State Bank of India portals gets opened, then pay the application fees:

The departmental candidates are exempted from payment of fee. The Application fee will be collected through online mode only.

Printout of application form: After payment, candidates have to take the printout of e-receipt and online application form for future reference.

Note: Separate CSPHCL AE JE application forms and fee will be required to be filled up in case a candidate applies for more than one postcode.

• The computer-based test is conducted for 2 hours

• The test comprises of 100 objective type questions of 100 marks

• Part I consists of 80 questions related to professional subjects

• Part II consists of 20 questions for general awareness and reasoning

• The language of the question paper is English and Hindi

Marking Scheme:

• For every correct answer, one mark shall be awarded

• For every wrong answer, ¼ mark (i.e. 0.25 mark) will be deducted

• No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions

The admit card of CSPHCL AE JE exam is released in online mode. Candidates can download their admit card by entering registration number and the password in the login window. The admit card carry details such as centre details, date and time of the examination and among others. The candidates must bring a printout of CSPHCL AE JE Admit Card at the examination centre along with original ID Proof. No candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card and anyone of the ID proofs as below:

• PAN Card

• Aadhar Card

The result of CSPHCL AE JE is announced online. Based on the merit of the candidates maximum three times shortlisted candidates against one available vacancy in each category for every postcode are called for the interview, which shall be of 15 marks. Final selection is based on the merit list prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in online computer based test and Interview put together. The selection of candidates is subject to fulfilling all required qualifications and criteria as prescribed by the conducting authority.

• The selection process of CSPHCL AE JE involves an online test followed by an Interview. The final selection of candidates is based on the marks secured by candidates in the online test and interview.
• The minimum qualifying marks for UR/OBC category will be 40% and for SC/ST category will be 30% in online CSPHCL AE JE examination (CBT).
• All selected candidates have to undergo on the job training and institutional training for a total of 12 months. Evaluation of performance in the training period will be assessed through a written exam followed by an assessment by MD.
• The minimum qualifying marks for UR/OBC category will be 40% and for SC/ST category will be 30% in internal written exam. On completion of the training the trainee will be appointed as Assistant Engineer (AE)/ Junior Engineer (JE) on probation for a period of two years which may be extended as per Power Companies rules.
• Selected candidates will be required to execute a bond of Rs. 3.00 lakhs for the post of AE and Rs. 1.75 lakhs for the post of JE, to serve the Power Companies for minimum period of four years (including the period of training).
