About CSIR UGC NET 2020
CSIR NET 2020 - National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR NET 2020 notification and application on March 16, 2020. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the application form till September 10, 2020 (5:00pm) with the payment of an online application fee of RS 1000 (general/EWS), Rs 500 (OBC-NCL*) and Rs 250 (SC/ST). Candidates who fill the application form successfully will be issued the admit card on in online mode.
NTA announced the CSIR NET 2020 dates on the official website. The CSIR UGC NET exam is scheduled on November 19, 21 and 26, 2020. Earlier the exam was supposed to be held on June 21, 2020 (postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak) to determine the eligibility of the candidates as Lecturers and for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in the Faculty of Science. The exam of CSIR NET is conducted in online mode and contains questions from five subjects - Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Science, and Earth Sciences. The test will be held at a total of 225 exam centers at about 27 states/UTs.
Candidates qualifying the examination for Lecturers (NET) will be eligible to apply at various Colleges and Universities while those who qualify JRF (NET) will be awarded a fellowship which is valid for a period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR.

NTA releases the CSIR NET eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidates in order to appear for the test. Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria of CSIR NET before applying for the test. Candidates must fulfil all the conditions of eligibility regarding age limits, educational qualifications, etc. prescribed for admission to the examination.
Eligibility of CSIR NET is determined on the following:
Age Limit – For JRF must be 28 years of age as on January 1, 2020 while there is no age limit for candidates applying for Lectureship.
Educational Qualifications – Candidates must hold a Master's degree with 55% marks for General and OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ST and PWD candidates.

Candidates can fill the application form from March 16, 2020. The application process of CSIR NET involves registration, uploading of photograph and signature, filling up of all details in the online application form, payment of application fees, preview of application and printout of the application form. The last date to fill the application form is September 10, 2020.
Candidates also have to pay the application fee through online mode, using the payment gateway facility through:

- The exam will be conducted in online mode.
Language of the exam will be in Hindi and English language both. Candidates are advised to appear for the language they have opted in the CSIR NET application form.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers as per the subject.
Candidates should use an only black ballpoint pen to fill in their particulars in the OMR answer sheet.

The admit card contains details such as candidate’s name, roll number, registration number, date and time of the exam, exam centre details and important instruction for the exam. NTA has released the answer key of CSIR NET 2020 for each set of the question paper on December 28 at its official website. The answer key of CSIR NET is available online Set A, B and C. Previously, NTA has released CSIR NET answer key challenge window from December 3 to December 5, 2020. Candidates must go through CSIR NET answer key to know the correct responses marked in the CSIR NET exam. CSIR NET 2020 answer key will help candidates to calculate the probable scores based on the correct and incorrect responses.
CSIR NET result 2020 has been declared on December 28 in online mode. Candidates can check their result for CSIR NET 2020 in PDF and also by entering their roll number and date of birth in the login window. The qualified candidates will be appointed as JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Lecturership (NET).
The CSIR NET cut off will be announced in the form of PDF. The examination authority has declared the cut off of CSIR NET separately JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Lecturership (NET). The cutoff marks will be released in two forms - category-wise and discipline-wise. The cutoff list is prepared by considering the cumulative marks of all parts of the exam. As per last year, the minimum qualifying marks for General & OBC category was 33 % and for SC/ST and PwD categories was 25 % for both fellowship and lecturership.
CSIR UGC NET 2020 Selection Process
The selection procedure of CSIR NET is based on the marks secured in the offline test and fulfilling the eligibility criteria of CSIR NET. Candidates will be selected for awarding Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) NET and will be appointed as Lecturership (NET) in subjects under the faculty of science and technology.
Offline Test - Candidates will be held in offline mode for 200 marks. The subjects for the exam will have questions from Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
As per the CSIR NET, the pay scale for selected candidates will be awarded fellowship of Rs. 25,000 per month for two years. Along with this, the university/institution will be given an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20,000 per fellow for the third and the subsequent year on the basis of the progress of the fellow.

CSIR UGC NET exam for chemical science divided into three parts the main part of subject chemical science which is divided into four parts that is inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and organic chemistry and interdisciplinary subject.
There is no option to choose any of the the chemical science part like inorganic/physical/organic.
Appearing for chemical science you will have to take the three sections of chemical science either.

UGC NET is a national level entrance test which will be organized by NTA. UGC NET 2021 will be held in the month of June 2021 in 3rs or 4th week and in December 2021 through online CBT mode.
The application process for June session exam starts in the month of March 2021 and in the month of September 2021 for December session exam.
UGC NET 2021 Notification will be released on February 2021.
Availability of Online Application - 3 rd week of March 2021
Last date to apply online - 3 rd week of April 2021
Availability of Admit card - 3 rd week of May 2021
