    • a citizen of India,

    • a subject of Bhutan,

    • a subject of Nepal,

    • a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention to permanently settle in India, or

    • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention to permanently reside in India

    UPSC ESE Eligibility Criteria 2024 - Educational Qualification

    • A candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

    • The aspirant must have obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such a foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time.

    • A candidate must have passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).

The last date to fill out the UPSC ESE application form 2024 is September 26, 2023. Candidates can fill out the application form in online mode only. Candidates first need to complete UPSC ESE 2024 registration.

    After successful registration, candidates can proceed to fill out the UPSC application form 2024. The application fee for the UPSC ESE 2024 exam is Rs. 200/-. However, reserved category and female candidates are exempted from fee payment. Candidates also need to upload scanned images of the photograph and signature in the UPSC ESE 2024 application form.
