  • Candidates, who wish to apply for UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2015, need to be a citizen of India for Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service posts
  • They must be between the age of 21 and 32 years as on August 1, 2015
  • Candidate need to have a degree of any University or equivalent qualification
  • Any candidate who has not completed the six attempts at the Civil Services Examination before the upper age limit

  • The Application Form for UPSC Prelims 2015 has been over on June 19. Candidates were required to Apply Online for UPSC Prelims 2015. The 2015 application form of UPSC Prelims comprised two stage – Part I and Part II, where Part I comprised the general application details including name and contact details, Part II comprised exam centre venues for both prelims and mains exam, uploading of photographs and fee payment.

  • UPSC Prelims 2015 Application Forms were available between May 23 and June 19, 2015 (11:59 pm)

  • Candidates need to have his/her photograph and signature duly scanned in jpg format (Photograph size: between 3kb and 40 kb) and (Signature size: between 1kb and 40 kb)

  • Only single application would be accepted, however, in any case more than one applications were submitted, candidates must ensure that the final application form might not have any errors and completed in all respects

  • Candidates must submit their valid and active e-mail ids as all communication regarding UPSC Civil Services 2015 will be done through the registered mail id

  • Candidates need to submit the application fees in time

  • Candidates need to remit an application fee of Rs. 100 only, however, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Female/Physically Handicapped categories are exempted from remitting UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2015 application fees

  • The Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2015 of UPSC will consist of two papers of objective type questions (multiple-choice questions) – General Studies (GS) and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)

  • The total marks allotted for UPSC CSP 2015 is 400; 200 marks for each paper

  • The questions of both the papers of UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2015 will be set in bot Hindi and English medium

  • Candidates will be allotted two hours duration for attempting each of the papers of UPSC CS Preliminary Exam 2015

  • The CSAT paper (Paper II of Civil Services Prelims 2015) will be of qualifying nature with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33% of the total marks

  • There is a system of negative marking for the civil services preliminary exam, wherein 0.33 marks will be deducted from the total scored marks for every incorrect response

  • Candidates are required to choose one answer among the four given against each question and in any case, if more than one answer is marked, it’ll be regarded as wrong answer and negative marking will be applicable to the very question
