UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2015 Eligibility Criteria – Union Public Service Commission has specified the Eligibility Criteria of UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2015 for the candidates who are seeking Civil Services job. Candidates who wish to apply for UPSC Civil Services Mains 2015 must have qualified in the preliminary exam. Other eligibility criteria are same as specified for the prelims exam.

Civil Services 2015 Exam of UPSC is done in three stages – Preliminary, Mains and Interview. While the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2015, held on August 23, is just a screening test, UPSC Civil Services Mains is of evaluative nature and those who qualify in the Mains level will be called in for UPSC Civil Services Interview.

 

Find below the eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services Mains 2015:

  • Candidates who wish to apply for UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2015; need to be a citizen of India for Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service posts, wherein for other services, the candidate can be –A citizen of India

    A subject of Nepal

    A subject of Bhutan

    A Tibetan refugee who came before January 1, 1962 United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

    A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

  • The candidate must be between the age of 21 and 32 years as on August 1, 2015 (Any candidate, who appeared in the Civil Services Examination of 2011 but is otherwise ineligible for Civil Services Examination 2015 due to attainment of upper age limit, is also permitted an additional attempt in the Civil Services Examination 2015)

  • Candidate need to have a degree of any University or equivalent qualification

  • Any candidate who has not completed the six attempts at the Civil Services Examination (Any candidate, who appeared in the Civil Services Examination of 2011 but is otherwise ineligible for Civil Services Examination 2015 due to attainment of upper age limit, is also permitted an additional attempt in the Civil Services Examination 2015)
