UPSC Civil Services 2014 Eligibility Criteria – Union Public Service Commission has announced UPSC Civil Services 2014 Eligibility Criteria.The candidate must be a citizen of India, as per UPSC Civil Services 2014 Eligibility Criteria and he/she must hold a degree of any recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
According to Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services 2014,the candidate should be aged between 21 years to 32 years as on August 1, 2014.The candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1982 and not later than August 1, 1993.
However, UPSC Civil Services 2014 Reservation Criteria provides upper-age relaxation to the reserved category candidates up to the prescribed maximum limits, including upto a maximum of five years to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and upto a maximum of three years to the candidates belonging from Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.

UPSC will conduct preliminary exam for UPSC Civil Services 2014 on August 24 to fill up around 1,291 vacancies in civil services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services (Group A and Group B).
Candidates, who qualify Prelims round, will be called for the Main Exam in September or October, 2014. Mains round includes written exam and personality test. Qualifying candidates in Mains round will be appointed as Civil Servants.
The exam will be conducted for total of 1291 vacancies. Out of the total vacancies, 26 vacancies are reserved for Physically Handicapped Category. The 26 reserved seats are further divided for 12 vacancies for LDCP, 2 Vacancies for B/LV and 12 Vacancies for HI.
