    The National Testing Agency will release the UGC NET 2023 cut off online for the December 2023 session in online mode. UGC NET cut off 2023 subject wise pdf will be released at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared in the UGC NET exam will be able to check their UGC NET 2023 cut off marks category wise as well as subject-wise on the official website.

    The cut off of UGC NET 2023 is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates need to score to qualify for the exam. The minimum qualifying mark of UGC NET 2023 for the General category is 40% whereas for the Reserved category is 35%.     UGC NET Cut Off 2023

    The NET UGC cut off 2023 will be released separately for candidates who qualify for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The UGC NET 2023 cut off PDF contains the total number of qualified candidates who appeared for each subject in all categories. Candidates who score equal to or more than the UGC NET passing marks will qualify for the UGC NET 2023.

    What Are the UGC NET Qualifying Marks 2023?

    The National Testing Agency determines the minimum qualifying mark that a candidate needs to score in order to pass the UGC NET 2023 exam. This minimum qualifying mark is other than the UGC NET result 2023. Candidates have to secure the qualifying marks prescribed by the National Testing Agency in both papers of UGC NET 2023 to get shortlisted for JRF or Assistant Professorship.     How to Calculate Cut Off Marks for UGC NET 2023?

    To calculate the UGC NET 2023 cut off marks, the National Testing Agency follows the following steps. The detailed procedure for the calculation of cut off marks of UGC NET 2023 is shared below:

    Step 1: Total number of qualified candidates in the exam shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers of the exam.

    Step 2: Total number of slots allocated to candidates belonging to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.

    Step 3: Minimum marks required by candidates to score to be considered for Junior Research Fellow and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor are mentioned in the table given below:

    Step 4: Qualifying factors for candidates who qualify in UGC NET will be based on their category for each subject. The aggregate percentage secured by candidates in both papers corresponding to the number of slots will determine the qualifying cut-off.

    Step 5: Total number of slots available for awarding Junior Research Fellows is allocated among different categories as per reservation policy.

    UGC NET Cut off 2023 - Category-Wise Subject Cut-off

    Only those candidates will qualify in the UGC NET 2023 exam who score the minimum UGC NET 2023 cut off marks. These cut off marks of UGC NET must be apart from scoring the minimum qualifying marks of the exam.     UGC NET Result 2023

    The National Testing Agency will declare the UGC NET result 2023 online for December 2023 session on January 10, 2024 on the official website. To check the result, candidates have to use their login credentials like the application number and date of birth. Only those candidates who score the minimum UGC NET cut off marks determined by the National Testing Agency will be qualified. Candidates who pass the UGC NET exam will be issued an eligibility certificate which candidates can use to apply as Assistant Professors in any College/University across the country and also avail Junior Research Fellowship.

If you get UGC NET certificates in EWS category then it will be valid for lifetime whether you may retain in category or not.     As per the eligibility criteria laid out for UGC NET, candidates who are pursuing their master's degree or are in the final year of the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for UGC NET, however they need to secure 55% aggregate in their masters degree from a recognized university, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, in such cases candidates are required to complete their graduation within two years from the date of declaring of UGC NET results, failing to do so will lead to disqualification for JRF/Assistant Professor, the scores of JRF remains valid for three years from the date of receiving of JRF letter,
