TET 2019 - The job of teaching is one of the most celebrated jobs in the country. Thus, every year there are many candidates who try to make it to this career. In order to select candidates as teachers, TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) exam is conducted. TET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers from classes 1 to 8. The exam of TET is conducted from each state separately and also a combined national level test, popularly known as CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) is conducted. CTET is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) while the state TETs are conducted by the State Education Boards.
TET 2019 will be conducted for both CTET and State TETs like Uttar Pradesh TET, Himachal Pradesh TET, Haryana TET, Uttarakhand TET, karnataka TET, Tamil Nadu TET, Bihar TET, REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) etc. TET 2019 exam will be conducted for two papers - paper I and II. Paper I of TET 2019 will be conducted for all those candidates who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 5 (Primary Stage) whereas paper II is conducted for all those who wish to become teachers from classes 6 to 8 (Elementary Stage). Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET)
CTET is a national level examination, conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers who will qualify in CTET will be issued TET Eligibility Certificate. CTET qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for jobs in schools under Central Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Tibetan School etc and schools under the administrative control of UTs and unaided private schools.
State Teachers Eligibility Test (TETs)
For each state, a different TET exam is conducted. These TETs are conducted by the State Government for which the TET exam has to be conducted. Candidates who qualify in these TET exams are considered TET qualified for only that state for which the candidate has taken the test.
In order to appear for the TET exams, candidates must hold a certain eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of TET is determined by the examination authority on the basis of age and education qualification. It is important for the candidates to meet the eligibility criteria before they apply for the test. Find below the TET eligibility criteria.
TET 2019 Eligibility Criteria on the basis of Education Qualification
Paper I (Primary Stage - Classes 1 to 5)
Paper II (Elementary Stage - Classes 6 to 8)
Candidates must have a graduation degree and must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or
Those who have scored 50% marks in graduation and have B.Ed degree can apply for paper - I.
Candidates who have passed senior secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and they must have also passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years bachelor's in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in the senior secondary exam and must have passed or appearing in the final year of the two-year diploma course in the Elementary Education (In accordance with NCTE (recognization norms and procedure), Regulation, 2002)
Candidates with 50% marks in the senior secondary examination and also have passed or appearing in the final year of Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks and are appearing or passed the final year of 2-year diploma in Elementary Education.
Candidates applying for paper II must have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education and must also have a graduation degree.
Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in senior secondary or its equivalent and appearing or passed the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Or, candidates must be a graduate with not less than 45% marks and must have passed or appearing in the 1st year of B.Ed (Bachelors in Education) in accordance with NCTE.
Candidates must be Graduate and must have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Those who have obtained 50% marks in Graduation and must have passed 1-year B.Ed are eligible to apply for CTET.
As per the exam pattern of TET, there are two papers for which the exam is conducted - paper I and II. Paper I is conducted for all those who wish to become teachers in classes 1 to 5 while paper II is conducted for those who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8. For those who want to be teachers in classes 1 to 8 can appear for both paper I and II.

Candidates who fill the application form successfully within the allotted time frame are issued the TET admit card. The admit card of TET 2019 contains the details related to the candidates and the examination. Candidates must download the admit card of TET and bring it the exam centre on the day of examination. Along with the admit card, candidates must also bring one of the prescribed photo ID proofs.

The result of TET 2019 will be announced in online mode for both the papers - paper I and II. Candidates can download the result either by sing their login credentials or in PDF format. ONly those candidates will qualify the test who will score the minimum qualifying marks determined by the exam authority.

The exam conducting authority will determine the cut off of TET 2019 in order to select the candidates. TET cut off 2019 is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must score in order to qualify. The cut off of TET is determined on the basis of category of the candidates.
