SSC CGL Result 2019 – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the result of SSC CGL separately for Tier 1, 2, 3 and final. First, the commission will announce SSC CGL result for Tier 1 followed by the declaration of result for Tier 2, 3 and final. SSC CGL 2019 result for Tier 1 will be declared in May/June. Candidates securing equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks will be selected for Tier 2. Candidates who have applied for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) post will appear for Paper 3 while those for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer posts will appear for Paper 4 in Tier 2 exam. 


SSC CGL result 2019 for Tier 2 will be announced in October 2019. Based on the marks obtained in Tier 1 and 2, candidates will be selected for Tier 3. The marks of Tier 1 and 2 will be normalised to announce the result as the exams will be held in multiple days and shifts. The result of Tier 3 will be announced in February 2020. Candidates qualifying the Tier 3 will be called to appear for Tier 4. The final SSC CGL result 2019 will be declared in May 2020. All India Merit list will be prepared based on candidates performance in Tier 1, 2 and 3.Candidates whose names and roll numbers will appear in the merit list will be offered appointment. What details will be displayed in SSC CGL Result 2019?

The result of SSC CGL will display the following details.

SSC CGL result will be announced in different stages. The details of each stage are explained below. 


SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2019

SSC CGL result for Tier 1 exam is declared for those candidates who scores the cutoff as per their category. On the basis of SSC CGL 2019 result for Tier 1 exam, candidates will be selected for Tier 2 exam. The total marks of candidates will be calculated out of 200. As the Tier 1 exam of SSC CGL will be conducted in multiple shifts, the marks of candidates will be normalised to adjust the difficulty level of exam. SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2019 will be declared based on the normalised marks.


How to calculate SSC CGL Tier 1 score 2019?

The following procedure is adopted to calculate the marks of candidates.

  • Step 1: 2 X number of correct answers

  • Step 2:0.50 mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer from the total score

  • Step 3: Marks to be calculated out of 200 total marks

SSC CGL Tier 2 Result 2019

SSC CGL Tier 2 comprises four papers. The Paper 1 is of Quantitative Abilities while Paper 2 is English Language and Comprehension. Paper III and IV is Statistics and General Studies (Finance and Economics) respectively. Paper 1 and 2 is common for all posts. Paper III is for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer posts. Marks obtained by candidates will be normalised to declare SSC CGL result 2019 of Tier 2. SSC CGL Tier 2 result will be declared based on candidates performance in Tier 1 and 2. Marks obtained in Tier 1 and 2 and cutoff will be considered for deciding the eligibility of candidates to appear in Tier 3. A merit list will be prepared to call candidates for Tier 3 exam. 

How SSC CGL Tier 2 result 2019 will be calculated?

  • For each correct answer in Paper 1, 3 and 4, candidates will get 2 marks.

  • Candidates for correct answer in Paper 2 will score 1 marks.

  • For each wrong answer in all the papers, 0.50 marks will be deducted from the total score.

SSC CGL 2019 Tier 3 and 4

The Tier 3 is a descriptive test conducted in Pen and Paper mode. Candidates score in Tier 3 will be calculated out of 100 marks. Those who will score minimum qualifying marks in Tier 3 will be eligible to appear in Skill Tests. The Tier 3 assess candidates writing skills which is necessary for government job. Based on the aggregate performance in Tier 1, 2 and 3, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill tests and Document Verification.

SSC CGL 2019 Tier 4 is Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Data Entry Skill Test (DEST). The Skill tests are qualifying in nature. If a candidate does not appear in Skill Test or fails to qualify then they will not be eligible for posts where CPT and DEST are required.

SSC CGL Final Result 2019/ Merit List

  • The final result of SSC CGL/merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in Tier 1, 2 and 3.

  • Final selection of candidates in each category is done on the basis of their performance in three tiers and preference of posts.

  • SC, ST, OBC, ExS and PwD candidates selected on their merit without relaxed standards will not be adjusted against the reserved vacancies.

  • These candidates will be accommodated against the general vacancies as per their position in the overall merit list.

  • The reserved vacancies are filled amongst the eligible candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, ExS and PwD categories.

  • SC, ST, OBC, ExS and PwD candidates qualifying on the basis of relaxed standards like age limit, experience or qualifications, permitted number of chances, extended zone of consideration, etc. irrespective of their merit will be counted against the reserved vacancies and not un-reserved.

  • These candidates can be recommended at the relaxed standards as per the number of vacancies available for them inorder to fill the deficiency in the reserved quota irrespective of their rank in merit list.


SSC CGL 2019 Resolution of Ties

In case of tie in scores of candidates in Tier 1, 2 and 3, merit will be determined after resolving the same in the following method.

  • Total marks of Tier 2 exam

  • Total marks in Tier 3 exam

  • Total marks in Tier 1 exam

  • Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher

  • Alphabetical order in which first names of candidates appear

What is SSC CGL Normalisation Procedure?

SSC CGL 2019 exam will be conducted in multiple shifts. Therefore, different test forms will be given to candidates. To ensure fairness and equity in comparison of candidates performance across different shifts, the scores are normalised.


SSC CGL 2019 Marks

SSC will release the marks of both qualified and non-qualified candidates few days after the declaration of result. Candidates can check their marks by entering examination name, roll/registration number and password. However, the marks will also be made available region-wise in PDF format. The file will mention details like name, roll number, category, posts and marks of candidates.

SSC CGL Cutoff 2019

The cutoff of SSC CGL is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify each stage of recruitment process and become eligible for next round. SSC CGL cutoff 2019 will be declared along with the result. The cutoff is applied for all the four tiers of exam. Candidates securing the overall SSC CGL cutoff marks in Tier 1 as per their category are selected for Tier 2. SSC decides separate cutoff for Paper 3 and 4 and Paper 1 and 2. SSC CGL cutoff 2019 for Tier 2 is decided based Tier 1 and 2. Candidates securing SSC CGL cutoff in Tier 2 will be eligible to appear in Tier 3. The commission will fix separate cutoff for Tier 3.
