SBI PO 2020 prelims exam is expected to be held from June 7 at various cities spread across 34 States/Union Territories. Candidates who will pass the prelims exam will have to take the mains examination. Both prelims and mains exam of SBI PO is held in online mode, after which the authorities will call all the mains qualified candidate for an interview round.

State Bank of India Probationary Officers exam commonly known as SBI PO exam is conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (POs) in its various branches across the country. The recruitment exam is conducted in three stages including prelims, mains, and interviews. As per SBI PO exam pattern, the prelims exam contains a total of 100 questions of 1 mark each from three sections - Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. The mains exam of SBI PO contains a total of 155 questions of 200 marks from four sections - Data analysis and interpretation, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, General/Economy/Banking Awareness. Candidate qualifying in the mains exam will have to appear for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in mains and interview.

It is expected that the notification of SBI will be released for as many as 2000 vacancies for each category separately. To get an overall idea about the SBI PO 2020 vacancies as per category, go through the table below containing the category wise vacancies of previous years.
Authorities have determined the eligibility criteria of SBI PO for candidates willing to take the exam. The eligibility criteria to appear in the exam will be mentioned in the SBI PO notification 2020. As per the notification, SBI PO eligibility criteria 2020 will be determined by the examination authority on the basis of:

It is expected that SBI PO 2020 notification and application form will be available in online mode on April 1, 2020. The last date to fill the application form will be April 22, 2020 tentatively. The filling of the application form will include the following stages:

Uploading scanned photograph and signature
Payment of application fees.
According to the SBI PO notification, candidates must have the following particulars ready with them before filling the application form:
Credit Card/Debit Card details, Internet Banking details for payment of fee
Scanned signature and photograph of prescribed specification
Valid photo identity card (Pan Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving License or College ID)
Valid email ID and active mobile number
Marksheets of class 10th, 12th, Graduation and other degree certificates, if any.
Specification for scanned image and signature
The passport size photograph must be coloured and taken against white background
The dimension of the photograph must be 200 x 230 pixels
The size of the scanned photograph must be between 20kb-50 kb
In case, candidates are using camera flash, they must make sure that there is no red-eye
Candidates are advised not to wear any sunglasses, a hat or cap in the photograph
The dimension of the signature should be 140 x 60 pixels
Candidates must sign with a black pen on a white paper
The size of the scanned signature must be between 10kb–20kb
The application fee must be paid in the online mode through debit/credit card. The table below contains the application fee as per the category of the candidates.
The exam conducting authorities will release the complete list of list of exam centres along with SBI PO notification 2020. Candidates can check SBI PO 2020 exam centres to know where the prelims and mains exam will be conducted. The authority will release a separate exam centre list for the prelims and mains exam. Candidates can select their desired exam centre while filling the application form. The allotment of the exam centre will be intimated to the candidates through the admit card of SBI PO.

The salary is calculated on the basis of various components like basic salary, dearness allowance, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) and Special Allowance. The salary structure of SBI PO includes a basic pay of Rs 27,620 in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. In other words, the recruited POs at SBI will be eligible for a basic salary of Rs. 27,620, a DA of Rs. Rs. 12677, a CCA of Rs. 870 and a special allowance of Rs. 2140.

To appear in SBI PO exam, you must fulfill the SBI PO age limit which is 20 to 30 years of age for general category candidates at the time of registration. However, the relaxation given to the reserved category candidates are 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category candidates.
Yes, you can definitely apply for SBI PO 2020 exam. As per the eligibility criteria of SBI PO, candidates who are in the final year/semester of their graduation can apply online provided they have a proof of passing the exam by July 1, 2020.
