    · For Paper 1 (DEPR) there are three sections with a total of 62 questions. Candidates must answer all the questions.

    · Section I and II carry one, two and three mark questions and Section III carry one, two and four mark questions.

    · Marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given by the candidates. 1/3 marks will be deducted for 1 mark questions, 1/2 marks for 2 marks questions, 1 mark for 3 marks questions and 2 marks for 4 marks questions for all sections will be deducted.

    RBI Officer Grade B syllabus & exam pattern for phase II contain the subjects and topics from three papers. Phase II of RBI Grade B 2023 will have both objective and descriptive questions. Phase II of the RBI Officer Grade B exam will be conducted for the following three papers:

    • Paper-II - English (writing skills)
    • Paper-III (optional subjects) Finance & Management/Economics/Statistics

    Note: For both Paper I and III, there will be 30 questions and 50 marks for Objective questions. However, some questions carrying 2 marks each and some carrying 1 mark each. These descriptive questions are 2 of 15 marks each (with difficulty level) and 2 of 10 marks each). In case, candidate answers more than 4 questions in descriptive, first 4 shall be evaluated.

    RBI Grade B Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2023 Interview

    Qualified candidates in the phase II exam of RBI Officer Grade B will have to appear in the interview round. It will be conducted in English or Hindi for shortlisted candidates. Candidates who will score in Phase II and Interview will be finally included in the provisional allotment list of qualified candidates. The interview process will carry 75 marks.     • Age Limit: The candidate must be 21 Years to 30 Years as on 01.04.2020 i.e. candidates must have been born between 02.04.1990 and 01.04.1999 (both dates inclusive)

    • Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.07.2020. Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.08.2020. Candidates with Chartered Accountant certification may also apply.

    SBI PO Selection Procedure: Important Points

    The candidates should keep in mind the following points related to the SBI PO selection process:

    • Biometric Verification: To ensure an error-free and secure selection procedure for SBI PO 2020, the bank may digitally capture the thumb impression of the candidate. This is done to verify the genuineness of the candidates. Any inconsistency in the biometric verification will lead to rejection of the candidature and punitive legal actions. Candidates are thus advised not to apply any kind of external matter like ink, mehandi, chemical etc. on their hands.

    • Number of Attempts: The maximum number of chances are fixed for each category. Candidates who have used up all the chances are not eligible to apply. Appearing in Preliminary Exam is not counted as an attempt but appearing in Mains Exam is counted.


    RBI Grade B exam  tentatively scheduled to be held in June 2021 . The admit card for RBI Grade B will be issued to the eligible candidates from the last week of May 2021 to till the exam date. The announcement of RBI Grade B result for preliminary exam will occur in the first week of July 2021 .
