OPSC Result 2018 – Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released the OPSC 2018 result of Civil Services of final stage on January 6, 2020 at its official website opsc.gov.in. As per the result of OPSC 2018 a total of 218 candidates are qualified to recruit for the exam. OPSC result 2018 for final stage examination is released in PDF form which includes the roll numbers of all qualified candidates. Authorities has released the OPSC 2018 result separately for all the categories. Earlier to this the result of OPSC 2018 for mains exam was declared to select candidates for the document verification and personality test. The document verification for OPSC 2018 will commence from November 28, 2019 to December 4, 2019 followed by a personality test. OPSC personality test is slated to begin from December 17 to 28, 2019. The marks obtained by candidates in OPSC will be released a few days after the declaration of result. The marks will be made available either in PDF file or candidates have to login with the required credentials like roll number, registration number and date of birth to check marks. The PDF file will carry serial number, roll number, paper-wise and total marks of all candidates.
The mains exam comprises Odia Language, English, English Essay, General Studies-I & II and two optional papers. Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the mains exam as fixed by the commission will be called for personality test. The marks obtained in Odia Language and English will not be counted for merit list. The papers on Essay, General Studies and Optional subjects of only those candidates will be evaluated who secures minimum qualifying marks in Odia and English. This test is held for 250 marks. There are no minimum qualifying marks for personality test.
OPSC final result will be declared based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the written exam and personality test. OPSC will prepare a category-wise final selection list based on the performance of candidates in mains exam and personality test. The final selection list will carry roll number, name of candidates and their category.
The preliminary exam comprises two papers – General Studies Paper I and II. The General Studies II of Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. However, candidates need to secure minimum 33% in this paper. Paper I of only those candidates will be evaluated who secures the minimum qualifying percentage. Score of preliminary exam will be calculated out of 400 marks. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be called to appear for the mains exam. The marks of preliminary exam will not be counted for preparation of final merit list. The number of candidates to be selected for the mains exam will not be more than 12 times the total number of vacancies.
The cutoff of OPSC is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify the exam. OPSC cutoff of preliminary examination is calculated based on the marks secured by the last selected candidates declared eligible for the mains exam. OPSC decides qualifying marks for Odia and English (compulsory papers). This qualifying marks vary as per year. The final OPSC cutoff is determined based on the total marks secured in mains exam and interview by finally selected candidates. OPSC cutoff is released category-wise separately for male and female candidates.

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), is the national level entrance exam conducted every year by one of the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) for taking admissions on merit basis to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme.
This exam works across the NITs located in Agartala, Allahabad, Kurukshetra, Calicut, Raipur, Warangal, Surathkal, Durgapur, Trichy, Jamshedpur, Bhopal and Kurukshetra.
The application form of NIMCET 2020 will be released soon through which the candidates can fill the form and appear in the entrance exam. NIMCET admit card will also be released to be downloaded by candidates. The exam will be conducted in offline mode and the result of the same will be declared on the official website of NIMCET 2020.
Total 809 seats are available and duration of exam is 2 hours.
