SC/ST candidates with a minimum aggregate of 55% can apply for the post of Yantrik.
Candidates who have obtained first, second or third position in any sports event held at National or Interstate National Championship will also be given 5% relaxation.
The wards of Indian Coast Guards uniform personnel will also be given relaxation.

The candidates physically challenged are not eligible to apply for this post.
The minimum height should be 157 cms. Candidates from hilly and tribal regions will be given relaxation as per Central government rules.

Candidates are required to bring these original documents at the examination centre for verification. After verification original documents will be given back to the candidates.

They must have a coloured passport size photograph with blue background and it must be a recent photograph (not older than one month)
Self-attested class tenth certificate and marksheet
Diploma certificate and marksheet of all the semester
Identity proof, such as Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, college id or any other photo id proof.
Caste certificate issued by SDM/DM, and also sports certificate must be carried by the candidate(if applicable)
Any candidate who fails to provide the above documents will not be permitted to sit in the examination.
Candidates will be shortlisted for written examination on the basis of higher percentage received in diploma.
Candidates have to appear for written test which consists of objective questions.
Candidates who will qualify written test have to go for a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and an Initial Medical Examination. The whole process will take upto 2 to 3 days.
After the Initial Medical Examination, candidates have to undergo Final Medical Test. This Final Medical Test will be done at INS Chilka. Candidates who qualify in the Final Medical Exam will go for further training.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates who qualify the written exam will undergo Physical Fitness Test. The PFT will consist of
1.6 km run to be completed in 7 mins.

Indian Coast Guard Yantrik 2019: List of documents required for enrollment:
They must have 10 coloured passport size photograph with a blue background and it must be a recent photograph (not older than one month)

The basic training will be conducted at INS Chilka for 9 weeks. They will be given sea as well as professional training and afloat training for 3 months followed by Technical training at INS Shivaji/INS Valsura/NIAT(Naval Institute of Aviation Technology)/ Ship Wright School spanning for 90 to 100 weeks depending upon the branch. In case of any unsuitable behaviour of unsatisfactory performance, candidates can be expelled at any time of the training.
On joining Indian coast guards Yantrik are paid the basic pay. In addition, Yantrik can avail other perks and benefits like dearness allowance and other allowances based on the place of their posting and nature of duty.
