IFS 2019 - Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the detailed application form of UPSC IFS on September 3, 2019. Candidates who have qualified in UPSC Civil Services preliminary exam are eligibile to fill the application form for mains exam. The last day to fill the application form is September 18, 2019. UPSC IFS 2019 mains exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 1. IFS UPSC has conducted the prelims exam of Indian Foreign Services (IFS) 2019 on June 2, the result for which has been declared on July 12, 2019. The IFS 2019 exam will be held for three phases - prelims, mains and personality test. Candidates between 21 to 31 years of age as on August 1, 2019 and hold graduation degree in any of the prescribed subjects could fill the application form till March 18, 2019. Candidates who fill the application form successfully, are issued the admit card of IFS 2019. All the candidates who qualify in the prelims exam have to appear for the mains exam. The mains qualified candidates will further have to appear for the personality test after which the final recruitment will be done.

Candidates who have been declared qualified in prelims exam can fill the application form to appear for mains exam. To fill DAF, candidates have to visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.nic.in. The application form of Indian forest services was released on February 19, 2019. Candidates could fill the online application form till March 18, 2019 (6 pm). Along with the filling of the application form, candidates must also pay the application fee in online mode. Candidates belonging to the general category must pay the application fee of Rs 100 while candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/PWD) and women of all category are exempted from fee payment.
Before filling the application form, candidates must have several documents ready with them - Voter ID card/PAN card/Aadhaar card/Driving license, scanned copy of photograph and signature, bank details etc. Candidates must fill all the details mentioned in the application form correctly and take the print out of the application form after the final submission.
All those candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will have to fill the application form of IFS for the mains exam within the time frame which will be allotted by the exam authority after the declaration of the prelims result.

The result of Indian forest services 2019 for the prelims exam has been announced on July 12, 2019 in PDF format. IFS result 2019 for the mains exam is expected to be announced in February 2020. The result will be announced for shortlisting the candidates for Interview/Personality Test. The final result will be announced on the basis of the combined performance of the candidates in the mains exam and the personality test.
The authority has determined the eligibility criteria of IFS 2019 for the aspiring candidates. IFS eligibility criteria 2019 has been determined on the basis of age and educational qualification of the candidates. In order to fill the application form, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of UPSC IFS 2019. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria may face rejection at the later stage of the selection process.

The lower age limit must be 21 years of age as on August 1, 2019
Candidate must not be more than 31 years as on August 1, 2019
However, the exam commission has given various age relaxations to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
IFS Eligibility Criteria on the basis of Education Qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any of the following subjects:
Animal Husbandry &
Statistics and Zoology
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Forestry/Engineering
The exam authority has prescribed the exam pattern of IFS 2019 exam for all aspiring candidates. Candidates must go through IFS exam pattern 2019 to know the different phases of the exam, sections from where the questions will be asked, marks distribution, total number of questions and duration of the examination. As per the exam pattern of Indian forest services 2019, the exam will be held in three stages - prelims, mains and personality test.
The test will be conducted for two papers - General Studies I and General Studies II
Each of the two paper will be conducted for 200 marks each.
Both the papers of the prelims exam will contain objective type questions.
Each question will carry 1 mark.
One-third marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidates.
Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete each paper i.e, a total of 4 hours will be allotted to the complete the preliminary exam.
All those candidates who pass in the prelims exam will only be eligible to appear in the mains exam of IFS 2019.
The mains exam of Indian forest services 2019 will be conducted for six papers
Paper 1 and 2 are conducted for 300 marks each while paper 3, 4, 5, and 6 are conducted for 200 marks each.
Candidates will be given 3 hours for each paper.
Candidates who qualify in the mains exam will have to appear for the Interview/Personality Test round which will be held for a total of 300 marks.
The commission will issue the admit card of IFS 2019 for three phase of exam - prelims, mains, and Interview call letter. IFS admit card 2019 will be issued approximately ten days before the day of examination, Candidates will be able to download the admit card of IFS by using their login credentials. IFS admit card 2019 will contain details related to the candidates and the exam - name of the candidates, date of birth, photograph, father's name, registration number, roll number, name of the exam, date and time of the exam and exam centre details. Ensuring all the details to be correct, candidates must take a printout of the admit card and bring to the exam centre on the day of exam along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, Passport, Driving license.
IFS Prelims Admit Card 2019 - The admit card for the prelims exam will be issued to all those candidates who will successfully fill the application form.
IFS Mains Admit Card 2019 - Indian forest services admit card 2019 for the mains exam will be issued to only those candidates who will qualify in the prelims exam of IFS 2019.
IFS Interview Call Letter 2019 - The interview call letter will be issued to all those candidates who will pass the mains exam. The interview call letter will contain the schedule for the Interview/Personality Test and interview for the test.
The exam of IFS 2019 will be conducted at various centres across the country. Candidate will be able to select the exam centres of their choice while filling the application form. The prelims exam will be conducted at various centres whereas the the mains exam will be held at the selected centres by the examination authority.

The official answer key of UPSC Indian forest services 2019 will be released by examination authority once the recruitment process is concluded. The answer key will be released in PDF format. IFS answer key 2019 will contain the answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
IFS cut off is the minimum marks determined by the examination authority to shortlist the candidates to the next stage of the selection process. IFS cut off 2019 will be released for prelims, mains, and final recruitment. The cut off of IFS will be determined category wise taking various factors into consideration - Total vacancies, number of candidates appeared in the exam, and difficulty level of the question paper.
Candidates who score the prelims cut off marks will be shortlisted for the mains exam while those candidates who will score the mains cut off marks will be selected for the personality test. The final cut off marks will be released by taking the marks of the mains exam and the marks scored by the candidates in the interview/personality test.

The exam will comprise two papers of 200 marks each. Objective type questions will be asked in the prelims exam. As per the marking scheme, one mark will be awarded to candidates for correct responses while 0.33 mark will be deducted for wrong answers.
