IBPS RRB 2014 Eligibility Criteria - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the IBPS RRB 2014 Eligibility Criteria. A degree in any discipline from a recognized university is must for the candidates applying for any of the vacancies announced under IBPS RRB 2014.

 

According to the IBPS RRB 2014 Eligibility Criteria, some other qualifications have also been prescribed specifically for different job categories.

 

The age limit for candidates applying for various designations is ranging from 18 years to 40 years, as per the IBPS RRB 2014 Eligibility Criteria.

Under Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB 2014,Education Qualification and Experience (as on last date of Online Registration i.e. July 09, 2014):

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its

equivalent

(a) Essential: Proficiency in local language

(b) Desirable: Knowledge of Computer skills.

 

Officer Scale I

i. Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent

ii. Proficiency in local language

iii Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added

qualification

 

Officer Scale II

General Banking Officer

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its

equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution

Officer Scale II

Specialist Officers

Information Technology officer

Degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.

One year

Chartered Accountant

Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India

One year

Law Officer

Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period not less than two years

Treasury Manager

Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution

One Year

Marketing Officer

MBA in Marketing from a recognized university

One Year

Agricultural Officer

Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Two Years

Officer Scale III

Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions

Under IBPS RRB 2014 Eligibility Criteria,Age (As on June 01, 2014):

  • Officer Scale III - Above 21 years and Below 40 years
  • Officer Scale II - Above 21 years and Below 32 years
  • Officer Scale I - Above 18 years and Below 28 years
  • Office Assistant  - Above 18 years and Below 28 years

As per the IBPS RRB 2014 Reservation Criteria, the relaxation in upper age limit has been given as below:

(for the post of Office Assistants)

Actual period of service rendered in the Defence forces + 3 years

In the case of Ex- servicemen commissioned officers, including ECOs/ SSCOs, who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment

(for the post of Officers)

5 years

Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried

(only for the post of Office Assistants)

9 years

Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period Jan 1, 1980 to Dec 31, 1989

5 years

Persons affected by 1984 riots

5 years

Can i apply for one or more posts like Officer scale 1 Assistant manager ???

Hi Naina,

ipbs has released the notifications for filling the vacancies in rrb for posts if both groupA officer's posts (scale 1,2 and 3) as well as groupB office assistant posts.

The dates for registration are from 18th June 2019 onwards.

One can apply for both these posts of officer as well as office assistant because dates of exams are different for both so one can easily appear in the exams for both the groups.

But, in case of groupA officer's posts one can only choose any one grade scale from 1,2or3, and not for all the scales at a single time.

So ultimately, yes you can apply both  for the posts of group A officer's posts as well as for posts of group B assistant officer. 

But you have to register separately by paying separate fees for both the post's exams.

The overall cut off for ibps clerk for hearing handicap category ( Maharashtra state ) is not available on ibps site. Can you please help me

Hi Pratik,

There are 3 factors that majorly determine your ranking in the exam - the total number of applicants for the exam, the total number of vacancies available for the exam and the difficulty level of the exam. Since the results for this year’s exam will be out by January end, for your reference, the expected overall cutoff for hearing handicap category, based kn pervious years’ cutoff is 37. The actual cutoff maybe around this figure.

The expected range of the cutoff for Final Selection for your category is 25.5(minimum scores) to 40.4 (maximum scores).

Birthdate mistake on only photograph, of RRB group d application form therefore in admit card, now I seen my mistake, what supposed to do ?

first go to ibps official website.there will be list of links among them, you have to select the exam link which you had applied for (eg.CWE/PO,CWE/RRB's).click on that particular link it will lead you to one page.here you can find a link for re-print application form.click on option"printing your application after payment", enter your details and submit.then you can have your printout.
