IBPS PO Result 2018 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the scorecard of IBPS PO 2018 for mains examination on December 27. Candidates who have appeared in the mains examination can download IBPS PO scorecard by entering roll/registration number and password/date of birth in the login window till January 26, 2019. Along with the scorecard, the authority has also announced the sectional and overall cutoff marks. The result of IBPS PO 2018 for mains examination was announced on December 17, 2018. Candidates could download the result of IBPS PO mains exam till December 24, 2018. The result of IBPS PO mains 2018 reflects name of the candidate, roll number, registration number, date of mains examination, category of the candidate, marks secured by candidates, sectional cutoff marks category-wise. Candidates shortlisted in mains exam will be called for IBPS PO Interview.
While preparing the IBPS PO Result 2018 the examination authority determines the normalization procedure to adjust the difficulty level of the exam which is held in different slots. The marks secured in IBPS PO 2018 mains and interview exam will be only considered for preparing the final merit list and allotment of banks as per candidate’s preferences for the bank. The IBPS PO prelims result was announced on October 31. Candidates could download their scorecard of IBPS PO result 2018 from November 12 to 18. This year, a total of 4252 vacancies have been announced for the post of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees in 20 participating banks of IBPS.

IBPS PO Result 2018 for Interview Procedure
Shortlisted candidates in the mains exam need to appear for the interview conducted by participating organisations and coordinated by the nodal banks in each State/ UT. The result of IBPS PO interview will be declared along with the final result. Scores of the candidates in the Interview (who do not secure the minimum qualifying marks) will not be disclosed. The minimum qualifying marks for the interview is 40% for general category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100.
IBPS PO Final Result 2018
The final result of IBPS PO will be announced after the interview. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the main examination of IBPS PO 2018 and Interview. Only candidates who qualify in both, the mains exam and the interview will be considered for the final merit list. Based on the cutoff score, ranks and post preference, candidates will be allotted to any of the participating banks.

The prelims result of IBPS PO 2018 was available from October 31 to November 7, 2018. The scorecard of IBPS PO 2018 was released on November 12 and candidates could download till the mains exam, November 18. The preliminary examination of IBPS PO comprised of three sections - English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The total marks of preliminary exam was 100. Candidates had to secure qualifying marks out of total score to be shortlisted for mains examination.
The cutoff of IBPS PO is the minimum qualifying marks needed by the candidates to qualify each stage of selection process i.e prelims, mains and interview. Q. How much score is required qualifying IBPS PO 2018?
Ans: The score you need to qualify in the IBPS PO 2018 examination varies as per the different stages of the examination and as per the category to which a candidate belongs. The qualifying marks/score for the Prelims exam would be different than the qualifying marks for the mains and the interview. Q. How many vacancies are there in IBPS PO 2018?
Ans: For the recruitment year 2018-19, the examination authority has announced as many as 4252 vacancies for the recruitment of Probationary Officers.
Q. Is there any GD in IBPS PO?
Ans: No, there is no Group Discussion (GD) in IBPS PO, however, candidates have to appear for an Interview. The interview is a mandatory stage for all the candidates who qualify the mains exam. It’s only after qualifying in the interview that they are eligible for the recruitment.
Q. How many attempts are there for IBPS PO?
Ans: There is no capping on the number of attempts one can have for appearing in IBPS PO. However, there is a limitation as per the date of birth of the candidates. For instance, General candidates must be between 20-30 years of age, as on August 1 of the recruitment year. However, reserved category candidates get an age relaxation of 3, 5 and 10 years depending on the category they belong to. Secondly, candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline. Also, by the time of the registration for IBPS PO, candidates must have obtained their qualifying examination mark sheet/degree.
Q. Is IBPS PO tough?
Ans: Yes, IBPS PO examination is tough, however, it’s as good as the SBI PO exam, as the sections and the exam pattern of both the exams is are almost similar in nature. So, if you know about SBI or other banking PO exams, then you know the exam pattern and difficulty level of the IBPS SO exam. So, yes, it’s difficult, but not too difficult for the candidates whose basics and fundamental concepts of the different sections in the PO exam are clear.
Q. Is there any percentage criteria for IBPS PO?
Ans: No, as per the official notification of IBPS PO, you just need to have passed graduation in any discipline. There is no percentage requirement in the qualifying exam. However, while filling the application form of IBPS PO, candidates need to mention their graduation percentage and need to show its proof at the time of the interview.
Q. What is the maximum age for IBPS exam?
Ans: General category candidates who are between 20 to 30 years are eligible. As per this, the maximum age limit for general category candidates is 30 years as on August 1 of the recruitment year. However, certain reserved category candidates have relaxation in the upper age limit. OBC candidates till the age of 33 can apply, while SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons affected by 1984 riots/Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 can apply with a maximum age limit of 35 years. Candidates belonging to Persons With Benchmark Disabilities category with an age till 40 years can apply.
