IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) prescribes the exam pattern of IBPS PO 2019. The examination authority releases IBPS PO 2019 exam pattern along with the notification. It is important for the candidates to go through IBPS PO exam pattern before they start preparing for the exam. IBPS PO exam pattern 2019 contains various sections from where the questions are expected to be asked, marks distribution, time allotment etc. By going through IBPS PO 2019 exam pattern, candidate will also be able to know the various stages in which the exam will be held. As per the IBPS PO exam pattern 2019 , the test will be held in three stages - prelims, mains and interview. In the prelims exam of IBPS PO 2019, there will be questions from three sections - Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English containing a total of 100 marks. However, the mains exam will be conducted for a total of 200 marks containing questions from five sections - Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis and Interpretation. Only those candidates will be able to appear for the mains exam who will qualify in the prelims phase. According to the IBPS PO 2019 exam pattern, candidates qualifying in the mains exam will have to appear for the Interview round. All those candidates who will pass the mains exam will be called for the interview round. For the interview round, 100 marks is allotted. The interview is conducted to test the candidate's personality and knowledge of the banking sector, current affairs etc.
The prelims exam of IBPS PO is the first stage in the selection process of the examination. As per the exam pattern of IBPS PO, all those candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will qualify for the mains exam. The table below contains the sections from where the questions will be asked in the prelims exam, number of questions asked from each section, mark allotted for the section, mode of the test, allotted time etc.

The prelims exam has questions from three sections - Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.
English Language sections have 30 questions of 1 mark each while the Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude have 35 questions carrying 1 mark each.
The test is held in both Hindi and English except of English which is held in only English.
Each of the three section is allotted 20 minutes within which candidates must complete each section which means the test is conducted for a total of 100 marks.
For each wrong response given by the candidate, 0.25 marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted in case the answer is left unanswered.
Before the candidates start off their preparation, they must go through the syllabus of IBPS PO. By going through the IBPS 2019 syllabus, candidates will be able to know which all topics they have to study. IBPS PO syllabus will contain all the topics from all sections at one place only.

This year IBPS has announced that there are 4336 vacancies in total for the post of Probationary Officers (PO). The original cut-off for the IBPS PO Mains 2019 exam will be announced soon but the expected cut-off for the exam is mentioned below that are based on various factors:
General - 57 to 62
OBC - 56 to 60
SC/ST - 52 to 55
PwD - 48 to 52
Please note that these are only expected cut-offs and are likely to change. The original cut-off will be nearby this range.
IBPS PO mains consist of 4 sections & Descriptive paper. Quant , Reasoning , General Awareness , English. Considering the difficulty level of the exam , various sites and channels predicted good attempts around 63 -66. For mains English, General Awareness,Computer they are scoring areas.
Computer - Limited syllabus so all the 20 questions will come from what you have studied. There are many sites who will help you.
General awareness - Go for affaircloud capsule of each month. They compile all the information in much better way although some not so important but they are the best in the business. Just read them twice/capsule. In the final days bankersadda releases a Ibps po capsule memorize it 90% have comes from that capsule.
English - Give mock test join any test series. Don't practice offline it doesn't help trust me. Practice online as much as possible.
Reasoning - Watch YouTube videos for it.especially for tricks In reasoning questions are neither difficult nor easy they are just time consuming. But they are easy to score. Don't get stuck to the questions move on(especially in this section).
Quantitative Aptitude - Only section where you can be 100% sure for accuracy. Do this part in the last 34-40 min. Try beginning from quadratic equations, then series and so on... min. 15 marks you can score easily even if you are weak.
