IBPS PO 2019 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted the first shift of the IBPS PO 2019 prelims exam on October 12. The first shift was from 09:00 am to 10:00 am. The exam is going to be conducted in 4 shifts and the second shift will start from 11:30 am on October 12. The question paper in the first shift was of easy to moderate level. The exam analysis showed that candidates attempted 70+ questions in the prelims exam of IBPS PO 2019. The question paper covered all the three sections - English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The upcoming exam dates for IBPS PO 2019 prelims are October 13, 19 and 20. The admit card of IBPS PO prelims exam was released on September 30. while October 19 was the last day to download the admit card. As per the official notification, the application form of IBPS PO was available from August 7 to 28, 2019. Candidates were able to pay the fees and edit the application form till August 28, 2019. However, the last day to take a printout of the application form was September 12, 2019. Through its notification, IBPS has announced a total of 4336 vacancies. To appear in IBPS PO exam, candidates must be between 20 to 30 years of age. IBPS PO exam will be held in three stages – prelims, mains, an interview. Candidates qualifying in the prelims exam will be able to able to appear for the mains exam while the mains qualifying candidates will have to appear for the Interview round. IBPS PO 2019 exam is being conducted for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) at 20 participating banks of IBPS. Application fees once paid is non-refundable. The fee for SC/ST/PWD is expected to be Rs. 100 and for general and other categories Rs. 600 (including intimation charges).
IBPS will release the list of IBPS PO exam centres along with the notification. The exam will be conducted across 36 states/UTs. Candidates must note that one exam centre city can have more than one exam centres. The IBPS PO exam centres’ address will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates shortlisted for the mains examination for IBPS PO 2019 will be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at the select centres only. The centre, address of the venue, time and time of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the IBPS PO 2019 call letter. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The ratio of mains exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
IBPS PO 2019 syllabus includes all the topics from where the questions are asked in the examination. The questions will be asked from sections – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General/Financial Awareness, and Computer Aptitude.
