IBPS PO 2019 - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted the first shift of the IBPS PO 2019 prelims exam on October 12. The first shift was from 09:00 am to 10:00 am. The exam is going to be conducted in 4 shifts and the second shift will start from 11:30 am on October 12. The question paper in the first shift was of easy to moderate level. The exam analysis showed that candidates attempted 70+ questions in the prelims exam of IBPS PO 2019. The question paper covered all the three sections - English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The upcoming exam dates for IBPS PO 2019 prelims are October 13, 19 and 20. The admit card of IBPS PO prelims exam was released on September 30. while October 19 was the last day to download the admit card. As per the official notification, the application form of IBPS PO was available from August 7 to 28, 2019. Candidates were able to pay the fees and edit the application form till August 28, 2019. However, the last day to take a printout of the application form was September 12, 2019. Through its notification, IBPS has announced a total of 4336 vacancies. To appear in IBPS PO exam, candidates must be between 20 to 30 years of age. IBPS PO exam will be held in three stages – prelims, mains, an interview. Candidates qualifying in the prelims exam will be able to able to appear for the mains exam while the mains qualifying candidates will have to appear for the Interview round.

IBPS decides to cut off score for each stage – Prelims, Mains and Interview. Candidates have to secure sectional as well as overall IBPS PO cut off to qualify each stage of the recruitment process. IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility of IBPS PO 2019 will be released by IBPS. The eligibility criteria 2019 include eligibility based on nationality, age, educational qualification, etc. It is important that the candidates check the eligibility criteria of IBPS PO 2019 before applying for the exam.   • IBPS PO Nationality/Citizenship Criteria 2019 – Candidates must be a citizen of India
  • IBPS PO Age Criteria 2019 - Candidate must be 20-30 years of age. A relaxation i.e. an extension of the age limit is given to special categories which go from about 3 years to 10 years.
  • IBPS PO Educational Qualification Criteria 2019 - Candidate must have a graduation degree such as B.A., B, Tech., or any other Bachelors Degree from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification also recognized by the Government of India.
  • Additional criteria - The candidate must be computer literate as the mode of examination is online. The candidate must also have proficiency, both verbal and written in the language of the state or the union territory.

The application form of IBPS PO 2019 has been released on August 7, 2019 in online mode. Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before applying online for IBPS PO 2019.

Application fees once paid is non-refundable. The fee for SC/ST/PWD is expected to be Rs. 100 and for general and other categories Rs. 600 (including intimation charges).

IBPS PO Exam Centres 2019

IBPS will release the list of IBPS PO exam centres along with the notification. The exam will be conducted across 36 states/UTs. Candidates must note that one exam centre city can have more than one exam centres. The IBPS PO exam centres’ address will be mentioned in the admit card. IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019 – Preliminary Examination

There are three sections in the IBPS PO prelims exam -

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019 – Mains Examination

IBPS PO 2019 Mains Examination – Details

  • The time duration for these sections is three hours
  • These sections will carry 200 marks

IBPS PO 2019 Interview

Candidates shortlisted for the mains examination for IBPS PO 2019 will be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at the select centres only. The centre, address of the venue, time and time of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the IBPS PO 2019 call letter. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The ratio of mains exam and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2019

IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2019 includes stages of the recruitment procedure. Qualifying candidates of IBPS PO prelims exam will be eligible to appear for IBPS PO mains. After qualifying the mains exam, candidates will be called for the personal interview. Candidates need to secure the cutoff marks in order to qualify. The IBPS PO 2019 interview carries 100 marks. The interview lasts no longer than 15-20 minutes. In IBPS PO prelims, there are a total of 100 questions each carrying 1 mark. In preliminary exam, there are 30 questions in english, 35 questions in quantitative aptitude and 35 questions in reasoning ability. There is a sectional cut-off in all the 3 sections which you will need to qualify separately as well as the overall cutoff. As a result of this, every year the cut-off changes. In 2018, the cut-off was 56.75 for general, 55.50 for OBC, 49.25 for SC and 41.75 for ST category. So try to solve correctly more number of questions as there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
