IBPS PO 2016 preliminary exam was conducted on October 16, 22 and 23 and its result was announced on November 11. Candidates who have qualified preliminary exam were allowed to appear for main exam. Candidates who will secure sectional as well as overall aggregate cut off score in IBPS PO 2016 exam will be declared qualified and allowed to appear for interview scheduled to be held in January and February, 2017. IBPS PO 2016 Selection Procedure Highlights:

  • IBPS PO Preliminary Exam (Prelims): The preliminary exam was held on October 16, 22 & 23 for all those candidates who have applied for IBPS CWE PO/MT VI. Candidates have to qualify this stage to become eligible for next round of selection procedure

  • IBPS PO Main Exam (Mains): Candidates who have qualified the preliminary exam will be allowed to appear in IBPS PO 2016 mains exam schedule to be held on November 20. Candidates have to pass the stage to become eligible for next round of selection process

  • IBPS PO Interview: Aspirants, who qualify in the mains exam will be called to appear in the interview round, which is the final phase of selection. After qualifying the final round, a merit list will be drawn and allotment of bank will be done as per candidate’s rank and preference

IBPS PO 2016 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates, applying for the recruitment process, must fulfil the eligibility criteria of IBPS PO 2016 as given below:

 

Age Limit: As on July 1, 2016 (01/07/2016) - A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1986 and not later than 01.07.1996 (both dates inclusive)

  • Minimum: 20 years

  • Maximum: 30 years

  • Relaxation of Upper age is provided to reserved category candidates in special cases

Education Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

 

Nationality: A candidate must be citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika & Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 

IBPS PO 2016 Application Form: The application form of IBPS PO 2016 was available from July 26. The application form could be filled in online only on or before the last date August 13, 2016. Candidates were advised read the application procedure carefully before applying. The cost of IBPS 2016 application form was Rs. 600 for all other candidates and Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Before the submission of the IBPS 2016 PO/MT application candidates were advised to use the ‘Save and Next’ facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. No change was permitted after clicking on ‘Final Submit Button’.

IBPS PO 2016 Admit CardThe admit card of IBPS PO 2016 is issued by the exam authority separately for pre-exam training, preliminary exam, main exam and interview. Registered candidates can download their IBPS PO 2016 Call Latter once it is available in online mode. IBPS will not send call letter to any candidate by post or any other means. The admit card of IBPS PO 2016 pre exam training (PET) has been issued on September 23. The call letter of IBPS PO 2016 preliminary exam was available from October 1. The interview call letter has released on January 17.

 

IBPS PO 2016 ResultThe examination authority IBPS releases the result of each stage of examination separately. The result of IBPS PO 2016 preliminary exam has been released on November 4. The result of mains will be declared in the month of December. Candidates have to score subject wise as well as overall cut off score to qualify the entrance exam. The IBPS PO 2016 result will be declared only for those candidates who will score overall as well as subject wise cut off marks as per their category. 

 

IBPS PO 2016 Cut off: Candidates have to secure the prescribed cut off score as per their category to qualify the entrance exam. The exam conducting body will release IBPS 2016 cut off score of each stages at the time announcement of result. The result will be declared for only those candidates who will score the subject wise as well as overall cut off score.
