HTET Result Analysis 2017: Male candidates have outclassed females in HTET 2017 examination with 16.76 percent candidates making it to the cut off marks in comparison to the female candidates wherein the pass percentage remained at 10.60. According to the official result data of HTET 2017, a total of 43509 male candidates appeared for Level I of the entrance examination, out of which 7294 candidates qualified the test. This number of qualified candidates translates to 16.7 percent of the appeared male candidates. On the other hand, 96998 female candidates had taken the test, out of which only 10280 qualified in Level I. Thus, the pass percentage of female candidates in HTET Level I is 10.60.

The result data has been released district-wise for 23 districts of Haryana. In total, from all 23 districts, 96998 candidates had appeared in the exam, while 10280 could pass. Therefore, these numbers of qualified candidates represent 12.51 percent of the appeared candidates. In other words, 86718 candidates failed to make their mark in the test. 


Out of the 23 districts, other state candidates have recorded the highest number of qualified males (16.18) followed by Sonipat (13.48), Jhajhar (12.9) and Rohtak(12.41) while Yamuna Nagar (4.2) recorded the lowest pass percentage of male candidates followed by Mewat (4.97), Panchkula (6.18) and Ambala (5.1).

In the case of female candidates too, the highest pass percentage was registered by other state candidates wherein 641 (21.90) candidates secured the cutoff marks out of 8338 appeared. Next to other state candidates comes Jhajhar with a pass percentage of 20.57 followed by Sonipat (20.14), and Rohtak (19.46).


The least number of qualified candidates in Level I of HTET in female candidates were from Panchkula with a pass percentage of 6.83. The other districts with the least pass percentage include Yamuna Nagar, Mewat, and Mohindergarh with a pass percentage of 9.76, 9.55, 8.64 and 6.83 respectively.

Thus, when we see overall, the result data reflects that male candidates have higher competitiveness than female candidates when it come to HTET Level I exam, though the pass percentage both the categories vary in each district. As the result data shows that 6 percent more candidates could crack HTET Level I exam as compared to females.
