HTET Result Analysis 2017 - Level I candidates have proved to be better performers in HTET 2017 examination than Level II and III candidates. According to the official data of HTET for the year 2017, the pass percentage of the Level candidates is 12.51 percent, while 10.04 and 0.86 percent candidates were able to qualify in Level II and III exams.
Going by the official figures, a total of 140507 candidates had taken the Level I examination, out of which only 17574 could secure the cut off marks. These 17574 qualified candidates translate to the 12.51 percent of the appeared candidates.
In Level II, where 154577 candidates appeared in HTET 2017 exam, only 15520 candidates could pass the examination. This number of qualified candidates here represent the pass percentage of 10.04.
Further, in Level III, which saw the least pass percentage among all the three levels, 112644 candidates had taken the test whereas merely 969 could make it to the cutoff. Thus, the 969 candidates translate into just 0.86 percent of the total appeared candidates.
HTET Result Analysis - Subject wise analysis
Thus, it can be said that either the candidates who took Level I exam are more competitive than the other two levels or the Level II and III exams were much difficult than Level I.
However, it must be noted that in the Level exam, there is only one paper, while for Level II and III, candidates have to opt for one single paper out of all the given subjects (for which the papers are held).
Further, the result data reflects that out of all the three levels, the highest number of candidates had taken Paper II. Out of the 154577 candidates who took Level II exam, the highest number of candidates appeared for Social Studies (59870), while least number of candidates took Music paper (318). Despite the highest number of candidates appearing in Social Studies, the highest success rate was recorded by candidates who appeared in Punjabi Paper - 51.57 percent.
The result data shows that 4109 candidates had appeared in Punjabi Paper of HTET Level II, while 2119 could pass the examination. On the other hand, while Social Studies saw 59870 candidates appearing in the Level II exam, only 270 made it to the cutoff. This number 270 corresponds to 0.45 percent of the appeared candidates for the paper.
No candidate qualified in Urdu and Music Papers of Level III
Now comes the level with the least number of qualified candidates among all the three levels. It was Level III where Psychology paper reflected promising numbers with 77 candidates qualifying the examination out of 1141. These 77 candidates translate to 6.75 percent of the appeared candidates. Contrary to the highest success rate, the lowest pass percentage was recorded by candidates who took Urdu and Music papers. Candidates who took Urdu and Music papers reflected shocking numbers with not even a single candidate passing the examination. Thus, in these two papers of Level III, the pass percentage is 0.
