HTET 2018 - Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) has released the notification of HTET 2018 examination along with the exam dates. HTET 2018 will be held on January 5 and 6, 2019 in offline mode for three papers. The application form of HTET 2018 can be filled by the eligible candidates in online mode from November 19 to December 3, 2018. Candidates who hold a graduation degree can apply for HTET 2018 examination.  However, the eligibility criteria of HTET 2018 will differ as per the candidate's preferred subject. Level 1 is for the candidates interested to teach class 1-5, level 2 for class 6-8 and level 3 for class 9-12. 

Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks will be issued a TET eligibility certificate. HTET 2018 is one of the most awaited exams for teaching aspirants of Haryana where a large number of candidates apply for the exam. To appear for HTET 2018 exam, candidates have to fill and submit the application form online. HTET 2018 certificate will remain valid for a period of 7 years. HTET 2018 Application Form

The application form of HTET 2018 has been released on November 19, 2018 in online mode. The last date to submit the application form is December 3, 2018. Any corrections and modification in the admit card can be done from November 21 to December 3, 2018.  Candidates will have to fill and submit their forms within the prescribed dates only. Applicants will also have to pay a prescribed amount of application fees while submitting the application form. The candidates can make payment of their Application Fees both online and offline.

Step 2: Enter all basic details: Candidates have to enter all the basic details such as name, residential and permanent address, date of birth, email address, contact number, category of the candidate, name of the parents, educational qualification details (roll number of secondary examination, year of qualifying secondary examination and the name of the board are important), Paper I or II option and choice for mode of exam.

Step 3: Uploading of photograph and signature: After filling the basic details, candidates have to upload their photograph and signature.

Guidelines for photograph and signature

Photograph & Signature: Candidates must upload the latest photograph (coloured) and scanned signature including date of photography written on the slate or any other strip. Candidates will have paste the same on confirmation page for receipt of application form. The photo and the signature must be of prescribed specification as given below:

Signature: 10 kb to 20 kb

Thumb Impression: 10 kb to 30 kb

Photograph: 20 kb to 50 kb

The photograph must be of dimension between 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm

HTET Eligibility 2018

BSEH will prescribe the eligibility criteria for all the candidates willing to apply for HTET 2018 exam. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria and ensure that they fulfill each condition before they apply for the examination.

Nationality: According to the eligibility conditions cited previously by the board, only Indian nationals could apply for the exam.

Age limit: There is no specific age limit to appear for the exam.

Educational Qualification: Applicants will also specific educational qualification according to the level of the exam.

  • For PRT, candidates should have passed Diploma in Elementary Education from recognized Board with at least 50% or Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in elementary education.

  • For TGT, candidates must have passed B.Ed from recognized University

  • For Lecturer, candidates must have passed Post Graduation with B.Ed

Additional Criteria: Class XI with Hindi/Sanskrit or Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post-Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

HTET Exam Centres 2018

BSEH releases the centres of examination for HTET. The exam authority can allot HTET exam centre anywhere in Haryana as well as outside.  The exam will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode. The exact place and name of the centre for the test will be mentioned on the admit card. Candidates will have to appear only in the exam centre allotted to them and not any other them.

HTET Admit Card 2018

BSEH will release the admit card of HTET on December 20, 2018. All those candidates who will be shortlisted to appear for the pen and paper based examination must download and take printout of the HTET admit card to be carried along on the day of the exam. Candidates are advised to cross-check all the details printed on the admit card and if any discrepancies are found in the particulars of the candidate’s photograph and signature they should immediately contact the special examination branch of the board and get the details corrected.

Candidates without their admit card will not be allowed to appear for HTET 2018 exam. The board will not issue a hard copy of the admit card to any candidate by post or email.

HTET 2018 Exam Pattern

The pattern of HTET 2018 exam has been explained in details in the official notification. HTET 2018 Sample Papers

The exam authority has also released sample papers of HTET 2018 along with the notification. The sample papers will allow the test takers to understand the overall paper pattern in details and know the difficulty level of questions asked in the exam. Solving HTET sample papers will enhance the candidate’s speed and accuracy to complete the question paper within the given time period. HTET Syllabus 2018

BSEH will provide the syllabus for all three levels of examination. Candidates who will be appearing for the written exam can check the topic wise syllabus issued by the board before they begin with their preparation. Child Development and Pedagogy – The section of the paper will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning. Candidates have to focus on understanding the characteristics and need of diverse learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

Level 1 (primary teacher) will focus on teaching 6 to 11 years old

Level 2 will put their emphasis on teaching 11 to 16 years old

Level III (PGT) will target students from 14 to 17 years old

Language Test – The language of the paper will be in English and Hindi language

General Studies – The main focus of GS will be elements of Mental and Reasoning Ability and to check the knowledge of candidates about Haryana.

Mathematics / Environmental Studies / Subject Opted For – The basic concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of the respective subject will be the focus.

HTET Result 2018

The result of HTET 2018 will be declared online by the board. The candidates those who secure the minimum qualifying marks will be declared qualified but the eligibility certificate will be issued to only those who secure the cutoff score. Candidates who are not satisfied with the HTET result can reappear in the result within the prescribed dates by the examination authority.

HTET Cut off 2018

Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates secure to qualify the entrance test. The conducting body releases the HTET Cut off 2018 for all categories. All those candidates who will secure equal to more than qualifying cut off will be declared qualified by the Haryana board. Candidates can check the previous years minimum qualifying scores prescribed by the authority to qualify in the exam from the table below.
