CDS 2020 - Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) conducts Combined Defense Services (CDS) Examination twice a year for the recruitment of candidates who have the potential to transform into officers in different branches of Indian armed forces. The application forms of CDS 2020 has been released on the official website - upsc.gov.in on October 30, 2019, along with the official notification. CDS examination will be conducted on February 02, 2020 in offline mode at various centers across India. CDS 2020 will be conducted for a total of 418 vacancies.Latest: CDS 2020 Application Form Released. Apply online till November 19, 2019. As per the official notification, candidates should be between 20 to 24 years of age, having educational qualifications equivalent to graduation. Admit cards for CDS will be released in the online mode on the official website of UPSC a few days before the examination. The selection procedure of CDS 2020 includes a written examination followed by the SSB interview process and medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared as per the performance of the candidate in all phases of the selection. The final results of UPSC CDS 2020 will be released in a PDF format containing names and roll numbers of candidates selected for admission to the academy.
The application form of CDS 2020 has been released on the official website of UPSC on October 30, 2019. Candidates can pay the application fee in both online and offline mode. UPSC has released the examination centers for written examination along with the official notification. UPSC conducts CDS examination in offline mode across various centers. The examination pattern for CDS 2020 consists of various components like the number of questions, duration of the examination, marking scheme and others. The subjects included in CDS examination are English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. However, candidates applying for OTA are exempted from mathematics paper. Candidates who qualify the written examination of CDS 2020 will be called for SSB interview at various centers across India. The first day is called screening day which comprises of OIR test followed by the PPDT process. Candidates who will clear the screening test will be retained at the center for further stages. Recommended candidates will face a medical examination after which the final merit list of selected candidates will be published.
UPSC CDS written examination comprises of three subjects i.e English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. UPSC releases the syllabus for CDS examination along with the official notification. Candidates can check the syllabus for UPSC CDS 2020 from the table given below.

CDS admit cards will be released in online mode on the official website of UPSC. Candidates can download the admit card for CDS 2020 before 15 days of examination. The details mentioned on the admit card of CDS 2020 are registration number, roll number, examination timing, examination center, and others, Candidates needs to login into their account with the help of registration id or roll number to download the admit card. A hard copy of the admit card of CDS 2020 along with the valid Id proof issued by the government of India is needed to be carried on the day of examination. UPSC will release the answer key for CDS 2020 after the declaration of final results. However, candidates can download the answers key after a few hours of examination from different institutes websites. Candidates can check the answer key for estimating their CDS 2020 score. The answer key will be released individually for all subjects in PDF format.
UPSC will release the cutoffs for CDS 2020 after the completion of the final stage of the selection process. Candidates who will score marks equal to or more than the cutoff marks will be called for further stages of testing. UPSC will release the CDS 2020 results after the successful completion of the examination. The results will be released in PDF format on the official website containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates. However, the final results will be published after the completion of SSB and the medical stage of testing.
UPSC release the pay scale for different ranks along with the official brochure of CDS. The grade pay of all the officers varies according to the rank. All officers are paid a Military Service Pay(MSP) during the entire service. Since you have born on 08.01.2000, after the specified date, you may proceed for application. If any age issue is there, you won't be able to submit application. If you have undergone a L.A.S.I.K treatment 1 year before medical examination before the age of 20. You can get a post in a technical field like Aeronautical engineer, Basic air staff, ground duty officers, an officer in medical IAF and also in IAF- pilot flying aircraft and helicopters. The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing the paper of CDS exam 2020 as per the rules of UPSC are that-
1. The person should have age ranging from 19 to 24 years
2. The person must be a citizen of India
3. The person must have completed his graduation.
So, the percentage of 12th doesn't matters. The only thing is that you should satisfy the above minimum requirements.
